Finally Mavi saw an opening and stone beyond the treelike, she could sense them now. She strode to the front of the troops shoving one aside as she did so, but paused. She was supposed to wait and while she felt no need to obey a child, they had already greed on a plan, and it wasn't yet time. She stood, staring ahead, her saber staff in her left hand, watching waiting. An explosion as heard, she didn't care if that was the start or not it was good enough, she let out a roar and leapt high into the air twirling and activating her blade as she did so, her troops saw that as a sign to attack and starting firing as she drew the attention of the defenders. Fueled by her frustration and anger she landed against the ground deflecting blasters back at their targets with ferocity as she rushed forwards, increasing her speed and strength as she went, slamming a hand against a wall shattering it and hearing them shouting about taking her down. Someone threw a grenade and she turned quickly forcing it back across the field, "COME AND GET ME YOU SCUM!!" she roared ripping through another and moving back into a very aggressive defense of moving towards targets, using her lightsaber to deflect bullets, or moving out of the way, and then going in to cut through them. She didn't have a care that Funami had not attacked yet, she was busy releasing all the built up frustration. Knowingly let herself get angrier and angrier until she began to verge on a Force Rage. The soldiers didn't matter, Funami didn't matter, all that mattered was absolute destruction of her enemies, absolute power, absolute rage. This was where she belonged. Funami Teriyaki

Tapping a foot in impatience, the pink haired girl perked up her ears for the characteristic hums of a lightsabers. Again and again, slashes could be heard between the shots and cries. Still anticipating the unthinkable to happen, the girl even forgot to breathe, always thinking the lightsaber whizz to be the last. Whenever she thought it was safe to assume Mavi had fallen, another maddening whirr of energy brought disappointment. A hand reached into the schoolgirl uniform and produced a rainbow colored lollipop. Funami forcefully shoved the candy into her mouth, yet there was no delight in her face. Indeed, a dark frown had knitted her brow. The sounds of blaster fire now mixed with very vocal sucking and slurping. Everyone turned her way, but she was too busy mentally cursing the red-skinned Sith’s skill with a lightsaber to notice at first.
“Hmm? What?” Funami mumbled and her violet gaze darted from one soldier to another.
Two more slurps, louder than before, and evidently with no intent of stopping.
Trying to escape or perhaps investigating the explosion, a group of rebels came into the cave’s mouth. Their silhouettes were like shadows against the night sky, six beings total. As one, the group of imperials raised their guns. Funami’s abilities proved faster and deadlier; looking at the ragtag bunch with murder in her eyes, she snapped her fingers and that was that. A simple gesture, yet when a Force user of her caliber unleashed all that pent up frustration and anger, even the smallest of notions could achieve impressive results. Six bodies stopped abruptly, six mouths gave a prematurely silenced scream, six heads rolled down.
And she could still hear that cursed lightsaber singing its song of death!
So she kept waiting and waiting, growing more impatient with each passing second.

Mavi's half of the troops were starting to try and move in as Mavi went ape on the front lines, after a time she eventually ended up leaping back out of the battlefield deflecting blaster fire on the way and landing among her troops breathing heavily. She hadn't quite gone into a rage, not yet, rather she had noticed that the girl who was supposed to be here with the other half of the troops had failed to come. And while that meant Mavi was having ever so much more time to expend herself and her anger on this scum, it also meant that Mavi was left with half the amount of troops she was supposed to have. And as good as she may be in combat, there was only so long one could last with half of what you were meant to have. And the troops weren't eager to move in when they clearly saw they were lacking the numbers they initially expected. "Where is that cave exit! If that girl is still alive I might just kill her myself for taking this long." She growled at one of the troops who hastily pointed. "Stay in formation! Hold them down and keep pressing! I'll be back!" she ordered heading towards the cave, she wagered the rebels would be a bit to frightened and still in a bit of chaos to try and press against her own troops for a little while, at least until she got back. She raced around leaping and moving, deflecting and dodging, until she managed to get towards the cave exit, shouting inside without a single care about what the situation actually was as she started inwards, "You and your troops better have freaking DIED by now for not getting out here you FAILURE of a sith!" she howled into the cave storming in her blade still activated on both ends as she glared inwards looking for the troops and the sith acolyte. "I swear if I had the authority I'd TEAR your head off myself for possibly jeopardizing any kind of mission! And one way or another this will be reported as a failure on the so called greatest psychokinetic of all time!" Funami Teriyaki

Mavi’s approach was heard before being seen. Arms crossed over her chest, Funami listened to the shower of threats and watched the increasing intensity of red washing off the cave’s walls. What a shame. She had underestimated the pureblood. All the scheming – for nothing! She had gotten Mavi mad enough to trip over her own feet, preferably into a grave, but no! The red-skinned savage simply had to overcome the overwhelming odds and survive. White hot fury gripped at Funami’s heart. Teeth gritted, she felt the lollipop crack in her mouth, filling her entire being with sweet, sugary flavor.
Mmmm.
The red acolyte’s actual appearance was met with a violet gawk full of scorn.
“Fffffffffff,” hissed the younger acolyte as a very bad word desired to roll off her tongue, “Finally! Mavi. How have you been? We’ve been very busy!”
A dramatic waving motion of her hand over the dead rebels and beasts alike was supposed to lend credibility to the story.
“Come on, attack, stop standing around! Crush the rebellion! Go go go, others are counting on us!” shouted the child and caused her half of soldiers to move, “We have work to do, let’s show this acolyte who ran away from battle how it’s done!”
She started toward the exit and stopped to shoot Mavi a hateful glare.
“It’s not like I was waiting for you to die or anything!” The acolyte turned and stormed off, death in her wake. She paid no heed to the ancient stone and artistry when she walked through the ruins. Anyone without Sith insignia turned fair game and Funami hold nothing back. A lone shot tore its way to the acolyte, eagerly hissing in anticipation of eating through the child’s flesh. It stopped in its trajectory, shining bright red, only to turn around and return whence it came. A scream announced another death. The closest adversary to end in her grasp got pummeled into a bloody pulp as she angrily smashed them about. A massive stone block no acolyte should be able to lift turned into a hammer, flying all over and delivering death from above as Funami wildly flailed her arms in a maelstrom of fury. Those who escaped into cover soon found themselves rooted out, surrounded, strangled, ripped apart, shot, dead. The great temple did not remember such butchery since the old days. Blood ran like water, painting the muddy ground red with crimson streams.

Mavi's anger was not dulled nor convinced by the response, she stared at the bodies. They were not burning, and more importantly, she hadn't heard so much as a single blaster fire on her way in. And the troops were not moving when she entered. She glared at the girl watching as the troops left and the girl with them with one last clarifying remark about her intentions. As Mavi exited the cave she shot a mention with a hiss over her shoulder to the girl to make sure she heard it, "Your failure to serve the empire properly will be remembered and reported." she said quickly. As she stepped onto the battlefield people clearly remembered how she had been just moments ago, while they were busy enough with Funami coming out as it is, Mavi finally let herself go. The roar she let out seemed to shake the ground beneath her as she slammed through a stone wall her blade whirring into action as she slammed into enemy after enemy ripping through them with the blade as she went into a rage. Stone, blasters, flesh, none of it stood in her path as she plowed through them with greater speed and strength then before. As one of them went to try and hit her with a vibro-blade she grabbed the handle, head butting them and then tearing into their throat with her teeth, leaving them gasping as she moved onto her next victim. Even as she fought, with every roar, and hiss, and every cut of the blade she had the actions of Funami present. She would remember that, and she would make certain that the Empire was aware of her actions. The Frustration with the girl had built up and up but was thrown well over the tipping point when she decided to take an action that could have been against the empire's wishes. It was a strange sense of loyalty that Mavi had and she expected other sith to have it as well, and when she saw that Funami clearly didn't have it, it infuriated her beyond belief. Well more then the rebels here ever could. Now her goal was not to just destroy them, but do it as quickly as she could so she could alert the Empire of the girls actions. And she wondered if she could use the troops who saw whatever happened as witnesses, so long as they survived. Funami Teriyaki

Exhaustion started to make itself known to Funami, her breathing growing heavier. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead and she had to pause and catch a breath. The ridiculously big block she had held felt down, entombing another rebel underneath and marking an end of the conflict. A cloud of dust rose, momentarily obscuring everyone’s vision, wildly dancing and swirling in the air. Once it settled, only occasional blaster bolts flashed through the dark, the fighting dying down. The rebellion had been mercilessly extinguished before it ever had the chance to stand up and rise against the empire’s oppressions. What else to expect from a hungry, demoralized ragtag bunch of slaves with zero combat experience or training? A few individuals sporting Sith armor remained sleeping in Yavin’s dust, but all in all, casualties had been minimalized.
“Phew!”
Funami leaned against the collapsed pillar and panted. The dark side was powerful enough to fuel her telekinetic engine of destruction to the fullest, but like wildfire, flames of anger burned through the girl’s energy too fast. Who would have thought! She needed a snack to recover. It seemed like a few hours at Biscuit Baron were in order, right after reporting the mission a success. While happy about the achievement, she wasn’t that happy about having to share with another. If only Mavi had perished in the fighting! All glory and prestige would have gone right to her! Perhaps the situation could still be salvaged – with that thought in mind, her purple eyes found Mavi.

Force rage was a dangerous ability, and one that would often leave one exhausted because it pushed the users body to the limits it could withstand, but it was also something Mavi had used regularly, and with an extreme focus on physical condition, it took a lot longer then normal for the rage to subside. Just as it was now, as she threw a corpse across the battlefield still in a fury even though the battle had well ended. Covered in blood and the dust from the broken stones, the cut up flesh on her fists the only showing injury from having slammed through so much stone and bone as she went. She was at the brink of exhaustion herself but she didn't feel finished, tearing the stone building apart with hands and blade for at least another few minutes until she eventually dropped to her knees rasping for breath and glaring at the ground, exhausted. She could feel the soreness creeping in and gestured vaguely to a soldier to come by, "Get a contact through that the battle is finished and I have something to report on the Sith Acolyte, too tired to put much effort through now. Do it." she ordered watching the man through half closed eyes as he sent out the message to command on the matter, that way the matter could not be forgotten. She was much too tired to try and actually do the report right now. "Get someone to help me, I really don't feel like moving right now." she muttered, forcing herself to her feet and leaning against a pillar as a soldier came allowing her to lean on him so she could make her way back to the ship. Far too tired to pay attention to the girl, Mavi was about two thirds unconscious by now, and barely focused on the steps she was taking to keep moving. She'd done her job, she had told who she needed to tell that she had something to report. That was all she needed to think about until she got a good bit of rest on board the ship. Funami Teriyaki

Ears perking up, she couldn’t help but overhear the conversation. So Mavi wished to pursue the matter and report her? Funami considered such decision understandable. After all, she did try to get Mavi killed. Sith politics were a long winded game though and the Atrisian had no intention to lose to some upstart whelp. Watching the soldier Mavi had spoken to, Funami waited for him to get further away from the red skinned Sith and approached, skipping over the bloodied ground. Even though smudges of dirt adorned her apparel now, she still appeared completely out of place. It had to be the hair. And attitude. And her size. And just about everything about the little acolyte.
“Ah, excuse me, commander! Can I have a word?” started the girl and beamed a grin, showing her cute little fang as her voice became a whisper, “Darth Malice is my master. I just thought you should know.”
Winking at him, she added, “I am sure you understand!”
She knew he figured out the meaning of her words correctly.
His only reply was a weary sigh. Sith and their constant plots to overthrow one another – nobody needed that and that went double for those serving in the armed forces of the empire. Turning, he went to help the injured. Collecting their dead and wounded, the company of soldiers signaled for extraction. No longer threatened to come under fire by the rebels, it was easy for two shuttles to get in the air and find suitable landing positions. It certainly beat getting all the way back to the local garrison.
Funami was the first to hop in, eager to leave the jungle behind. The shuttle’s interior was no five star hotel but it towered above trudging through humid forests.
“Would anyone like Bantha breakfast biscuits? With blue sauce? It’s on me~”
A feast sounded about right. Next stop; Biscuit Baron!

Mavi practically fell asleep when she got onto the ship, taking a spot at the back, her lightsaber held in her hand as she breathed slowly awaiting to either gain back her energy or go somewhere more official to rest. She could probably get back from this fairly quickly, an hour or two maybe. Still be a bit sore afterwards of course, but at least able to preform combatively again. It was the stress and frustration that she was hoping to get a rest from. Even as she practically slept she remembered the numbers of the troops involved, keeping them in mind, she might need them as witnesses. Though, boy wouldn't it be easier if whoever she reported it to was some kind of telepath. Then they could know for certain. Ah well, that was for later, now was the time to rest and TRY and forget about all this nonsense. Funami Teriyaki

Time passed in the shuttle on the way back from the task Funami and Mavi were on. The ships holofeed sprang to life and there stood Darth Malice “I hope you both mean to explain why I have just received a report from imperial intelligence about an accusation made against my apprentice? What I have read in disturbing and insulting to my position, so I hope you can both see that I won’t take this lightly. Mavi you will speak first.” MaviFunami Teriyaki

Mavi's eyes sprang open as she felt a presence, darting towards the holofeed, she recognized a Sith Lord and immediately got off the bench into a bow in spite of her aching muscles and head slightly wavering from the exhaustion. She heard the woman speak, paying careful attention, so, they had told the Childs master then had they? Well, so be it, she was an authority and Mavi would respect that. She was told to answer these accusations and did so quickly, putting a hand against the wall to steady herself momentarily, "Of course Lord, I will do my best to explain accurately. During the trek through the swamp Acolyte Funami suggested a plan, one of use would take half of the troops through a cave system, the other would go through the main swamp. She offered me the chance to choose, I decided Swamp would fit my skills better as we could serve as the brunt of the attack. She said to attack when I heard the battle begin. After arriving we did indeed hear an explosion and the sound of fighting, and so we attacked, however considerable time passed and there was still no Acolyte Funami nor the troops and no sound of combat. I asked the location of the exit, and went down it, I was infuriated. I saw them all waiting with a few bodies that to me looked quite long dead. Acolyte Funami claimed she was busy, mocked me for leaving the battle, and before she went back followed up with "It wasn't like I was waiting for you to die or anything" before leaving and joining the battle. It seemed incredibly clear to me that Acolyte Funami took actions that were intentionally counter productive to the mission if not outright attempts at sabotage of me and my troops efforts by not offering the expected addition of a plan she had come up with herself. I ordered a trooper to call it in after the battle, as I had exhausted myself in a force rage and could barely speak at the time."The fairly long statement was said in a very formal and quick manner, but was also quite clear she was still frustrated with the matter, and exhausted from the battle. But she remained, waiting for a response. For judgement on one thing or another. She had to wager one of them would be punished. But she had the hope that Malice might side with the good of the empire, and not any attachment that there may be between acolyte and master. Funami Teriyaki Darth Malice

To know that she had been reported to Imperial Intelligence was both infuriating and insulting, plus a colossal waste of everyone’s time. True Sith would have settled the matter on their own through strength and cunning. Only weaklings relied on some higher authority for protection and a childish notion of justice. To Sith, success was the sole judge of right and wrong and they had been successful. Charades like this existed solely to appease the unwashed masses – among Sith, it promoted stagnation by holding the strong back from achieving their potential.
The ghostly blue light of the holo made the shuttle's cramped space look almost ethereal. She did not listen to Mavi, for whatever the red-skinned acolyte could possibly say meant nil. Once Malice turned her head toward her and awaited a reply, Funami stepped up, bowing before the Darth's projection. And the child began to speak. And she spoke slowly at first, tentatively. But then she began to grow in confidence and strength, for she heard her own voice and realized being Sith gave her all the justification she needed.
“Through victory, my chains are broken,” recited the little Sith, “The mission was a success, master. What else matters?”
Stopping, Funami allowed a frown to take shape. There was no intention to debate the mission itself, whether there was treason or not. To offer her own version of the story would mean playing the game by Maki's rule. No true Sith played by the rules, cheating whenever they could. The only real crime Funami had committed was Mavi's regrettable survival.
“Truth is a concept made for and followed by the weak. We are Sith. Truth is whatever we want it to be and it is absolute. Where she says I have deliberately sabotaged the mission, I say every Sith has to orchestrate her own advancement. If Mavi wasn’t strong enough to claim retribution then and there, she deserves none, and makes my supposed attempt at her life valid for she is too weak to become Sith by relying on others to fight her battles.”
A smug grin played at the corners of her mouth and she licked her lips, going for the kill.
“The way I see it – there is no issue here except this acolyte spreading slander to hurt mine and, in turn, your reputation, lady Malice. If we do not stick together inwardly and outwardly, and build a front against similar attempts to undermine our position, our rivals will always find ways through which they can sabotage our efforts. Mavi should be punished and she should be punished most harshly.”

Darth Malice listened intently to both sides, she had to admit Funami Teriyaki was correct but the fact still remained that her actions had reflected badly on them both. Summoning up the force, she force choked them both across the galaxy "You both waste my time! I should not be called to deal with such meager matters. I will give you both a choice, either put this behind you both and act like the Sith you are or you can both visit Atari Iw Judgement on Nathema. I expect a response post haste. Do not waste my time again." She cut off the holo-com and left both acolytes to come to a decision without her. Funami Teriyaki Mavi

Mavi let herself glare sideways at the girl as she gave her answer. Failure of a sith, relying on deception and assuming so much on a situation. A true Sith has to make their own way. If all she knew how to do was use others for her own gain, and couldn't even do that properly, she'd never amount to anything. Mavi felt a grip on her throat and hesitated, a hand lightly touching it as she felt it constricted, she remained silent, refusing to give in to the temptation to react, refusing to show any sign of pain or fear in that moment as the woman spoke to them. But listening, she heard mention of visiting Atari Iw Judgement. As she was released a grin crossed her face and a chuckle began to emerge until it burst into a full laugh and Mavi stood up properly staring down at the child with a tilted head from the side, she had no fear of her, her talents were particularly useful against telikinetics and she had no doubt she was a more experienced fighter. "The way I see it, I did over twice the amount of work you did there. I was there from beginning to end, you sat on your little rear end thinking your little plans. I have no need of your assistance, your failure to get me killed was plenty evidence of that already. You lack analysis, you lack focus, all you rely on are your abilities and your precious attempts at scheming." Mavi scoffed running a finger along both her saberstaff and individual lightsaber at her side, "But I've actually put forth effort. You want to go to the Arena? Because I will gladly tear you apart there, I have trained very much to fight force sensitives and especially ones who think that sheer power can save them. So come on, let's go to the Arena, so we can see just what would happen, hmm?"She watched, waiting, listening. The intense fury and excitement seemed to burn from her eyes as she stood as if she was itching to start right away, a smile as cruel and proud as it could be. Funami Teriyaki Darth Malice

Feeling the unseen fingers coil around her throat, Funami kicked, flailed her arms, raged.
“N-no….not h-here…,” begged the Atrisian, trying to wrestle against the invisible grip around her neck, “N-not in front of…h-her!”
Relief came soon enough and Funami found herself coughing and choking. Angry at Mavi, angry at Malice, angry at the entire galaxy, she hatefully stared at the now empty holodevice. Venting just a tiny bit of her frustration, the girl bent the proud metal into submission, crushing it into a ball of useless junk. That ended one source of anger and unleashed another, giving Funami an earful.
“Oh, quit your whining. Tell it to the emperor and see if he cares,” Funami snapped, throwing her hands up in the air in desperation, considering the option to open the air lock and flush the red-skinned student out.
The thought left her mind the moment Mavi issued the challenge.
“You dare?!” pouted the child and stared right back, unafraid despite the height difference between them, “You're the worst Sith I have ever seen! It is beneath me to fight someone like you! We are not equals!”
Folding her arms over her chest and looking mighty infuriated, Funami stomped her foot.
“But if you wish to die so badly, I guess I can make it happen!”
