SPECIAL FEATURES
* This Lightsaber possesses a synthetically made crystal which is tied to it's creator: Alicia Drey. This means that both the weapon, and it's constructor, are linked together through the Force. If it were to be stolen or lost, and Alicia was in close proximity to it, then she would be able to find it through her Force abilities. Other attributes to this connection include an increased strength in the dark side as the emotions of it's user flow through the blade and amplifying it's destructive qualities. It can be Force Activated in close proximity to the user or at a distance. A locking activator on the blade gives it the ability to remain activated when dropped or thrown (i.e Lightsaber throw). A discharge energy cell gives the user the option to increase or decrease the energy output of the weapon. It houses a Qixoni crystal, which gives the user a boost if they are a follower of the dark side of the Force.
Strengths:
(+) Synthetic Lightsaber Crystal: At the very heart of this Lightsaber is a synthetically constructed Lightsaber crystal. At it's creation this crystal was linked to Alicia Drey, the Sith Lord responsible for the construction of it and the weapon that houses it. Through combat (and training sessions) the strength in bond between Master and weapon is amplified and increased over time, providing understanding and knowledge in the dark side. As Alicia flows the emotions of hatred, fear, anger and pain through the weapon it creates a resonance in both Master and weapon, meaning that even in moments of relative calm or peace both are reminded of the age old verbiage, "Peace is a lie. There is only passion."
As years progress and pass by both Master and weapon the strength in their bond, as well as in the Force, is increased over time. If both were to live on for decades, practicing the dark side and murdering all their enemies in their wake, then there is the possibility that the synthetic crystal, and Lightsaber, could become a powerful dark-side artifact.
(+) Force Activated: Through her latent Force abilities Alicia can activate the weapon in close proximity to herself or at a distance of up to 2 kilometers.
(+) Locking Activator: If the Lightsaber were to drop out of Alicia's hand (i.e disarmed) or it was thrown at someone or something (i.e Lightsaber throw) then the locking activator, found above the ignition button, would keep the weapon active where it would normally deactivate. This means that the crimson beam, which protrudes at the top of the weapon's hilt, will always be active unless the locking activator was deactivated by it's Master or an enemy.
(+/-) Discharge Energy Cell: The Lightsaber can be appropriately modified to change the output of it's energy. For example, the weapon's output can be lowered to such a degree that if it were to make contact with flesh it would burn, sting or bruise the intended target, but would not slice or rend as it would at it's normal output. This mechanism can also be used to increase the energy output to a degree that it can cause the Lightsaber to explode. These are the varying degrees- from lowest, to normal, to maximum output- that the weapon can achieve, and everything else inbetween.
(+) Qixoni Crystal: Alongside the synthetically made Lightsaber crystal rests the Qixoni. This Lightsaber crystal can increase the users potency and strength in the Force, to provide a boost to the user when called upon, but is not a long-term source of energy in such a scenario (temporary boost ability.)
(+) Curved Lightsaber Hilt: The hilt that houses all the components which make up this Lightsaber blade was curved by it's constructor. This change in design gives the user advantages in Lightsaber combat, allowing them to attack from unexpected or unfamiliar angles to more conventional Lightsabers.
Weaknesses:
(-) It can be destroyed: A well timed disarming technique; shot with a blaster; or assaulted by Force abilities (i.e Force Crush, Force Lightning etc.) will result in the Lightsaber's destruction. It is strong, sturdy and can put up with a reasonable amount of damage, but like most Lightsabers it can be destroyed by any conventional means.
(-) Force Activated: A well trained enemy can activate this weapon unexpectedly if Alicia were sufficiently unprepared for such a maneuver.
(-) Heavy: The components which make up this Lightsaber (Force Activated, Locking Activator etc.) means that this weapon can be heavy. In prolonged Lightsaber combat this can serve to tire out the arms of it's user.
DESCRIPTION
In 885 ABY Alicia Drey was taught the complexities of constructing a Lightsaber. After researching different components, ranging from parts that would allow her to activate the weapon with the Force through to a locking activator (which would keep the weapon active in times where it was no longer in her hands), Alicia settled on a design based off the weapon used by the legendary Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Bane. As a practitioner of the 'Strong Style' in Lightsaber combat (Jedi abbreviations for this include: Soresu, Djem So, Juyo / Vaapad) Alicia wanted a weapon that would allow her to blend all the different Lightsaber techniques that she had learned, honed and then practiced under the guidance of her unknown Sith Master. The curved hilt, which houses all of the Lightsaber's components, allows Alicia to have her own, personalized unique style based off a range of techniques (see Jedi abbreviations).
The synthetically made Lightsaber crystal, which serves as the heart of the blade, was made through the Sith Alchemy technique of Bleeding. After defeating an unknown Jedi Knight in Lightsaber combat on Kalist VI, Alicia murdered the downed Jedi and used his death- as well as the dark side of the Force- to bleed the Lightsaber crystal of it's essence and convert it into a brand new weapon that only served the increase her powers in the dark side, and amplify her emotional state in combat. Alongside the synthetic Lightsaber crystal rests the Qixoni, a rare Lightsaber crystal that fell into Alicia's possession in the Black Markets on Hoth following a covert transaction with an undisclosed party.
It possesses several components that serve to make the weapon even more lethal than it already would be in the hands of it's owner. The first is a component that allows Alicia to activate the blade through the Force, using small crystal fragments which are connected to both the energy discharge cell, and emitter matrix. This allows the user to both activate the weapon, both in close proximity to the user and at a maximum distance of 2 kilometers, as well as allow them to dictated the output and discharge of it's energy with the Force. Theoretically Alicia can dictate both when the weapon can activate or deactivate, as well as it's output of energy, with the dark side of the Force.
Other components include regular parts that are found in conventional Lightsaber blades (i.e power emitter) and a locking activator*, which can be used to keep the weapon active if were to leave Alicia's hands (i.e dropped or thrown at someone, or something).
Due to it's synthetically made Lightsaber crystal this Lightsaber contains imprints of a range of Alicia's emotions, ranging from anger, hatred and pain through to fear, exhaustion and envy. As such a well trained Force-sensitive would be able to tell that the weapon belonged to her if they were to become familiar to her presence in the Force. As such she only carries the weapon on her person in times when she is not pretending to be Sith. The only material that exists in the Galaxy, that would be able to hide the weapon's presence in the Force (unless Alicia isn't using her Force abilities to this herself) would be Neuranium**.
* The Locking Activator has to be implicitly stated to have been activated in order to keep the Lightsaber active in times when it is not in the hands of a wielder. If it has not been roleplayed as active prior to it being thrown, dropped etc. then the weapon will deactivate.
** It is entirely plausible that at some point in the future other materials will be invented or discovered that can also hide this weapon's presence in the Force, which act similarly to Neuranium. As such the suggestion that Neuranium can hide the Lightsaber is to be seen as an example this, and not to be taken as the only source for hiding a Lightsaber.
