DESCRIPTION
While thought primarily ceremonial, Shadow Guard armor is fully functional and boasts properties worthy the emperor’s personal bodyguards without hindering their ability to fight or move. Often veiled by armorweave ceremonial robes, the battle armor consists of a helmet, shoulder pauldrons, vambraces, breastplate, and shin guards clasped over a skin tight, insulated body glove. Perfect for the Sith emperor's shadowy agents, the thermoguard bodyglove makes the wearer invisible to thermal sensors. Pitch black, the armor plates are extremely durable, constructed of phrik and a harder form of duraplast, stygian-triprismatic polymer, thus making them highly resistant to energy damage while boosting the effects of portable stealth fields and sound dampeners. The helmet has a built-in HUD connected to a sensor system that offers light amplification, anti-flash blinding lenses, thermal signature reading, optical enhancement to see through fog or smoke, and assists in acquiring targets at long ranges, as well as sporting an air filter to allow breathing in hazardous environments. Finally, the sound dampening belt around the wearer's waist drowns most sounds produced by the wearer while granting protection against sonic weapons. Three energy sinks and a combat de-ionizer are clipped onto the belt as well, meant to absorb blaster energy and negate the effects of ion weaponry.
