DESCRIPTION
In order to further solidify their status in the Galaxy, a turbolaser had to be created for Imperial Ships. The Sith Empire knows the importance of longe range battles in space combat. This led to the IL-1000, or Megalaser, is a longe ranged turbolaser capable of causing devastating damage to any targets within it's impressive range.
The Megalaser was constructed with dual barrels which, as opposed to many turbolaser designs, fires in tandem with one another. While this increases stopping power twofold, essentially, by pounding at it's target with 2 bolts at once, there is a 10 second period between shots. Sith Empire engineers installed this 'grave period' in order to protect the weapon from damaging itself and the ship it's attached to with it's incredible kickback. The Megalaser is capable of turning 360, making it capable of hitting targets at any angle, but it is installed with a system that stops it from firing upon the vessel it is attached to.
