The following tags may be assigned to your submission by a Staff Member*:
- Your submission is Approved. If it is for a specific Faction, it will recieve that Faction's tag.
- Your Factory Submission is awaiting approval.
- Your submission is under review and awaiting edits.
- Your Factory Submission is Denied. Staff will note the reasons and ask for editing or reworking as needed.
**Do NOT self-assign these tags. They are for Staff use ONLY**
Please try to keep your submission titles as short as possible. You can describe more detail in the submission itself. This will enable Staff to assign the needed tags to the thread. Thank you.
Factory Standardized Rules
Players are encouraged to help discuss and create submissions.
Players are also encouraged to read the rules and to adhere to them.
Factory Guidelines
The ENTIRE template must be used in your submission. Users can customize templates to their own personal liking, but the template's fields are not to be changed/removed/altered, additional information may be added but base fields are not to be changed or removed.
Be aware that some items and materials are restricted or banned and cannot be used freely. Be sure to consult the list before making a submission.
Do not bump your submissions.
All submissions need to conform to the general idea of Star Wars. No Thor’s Hammer, or wands of Harry Potter, etc.
All measurements in all submissions must be in metric.
All specifically named materials used in submissions must be linked to their page on Wookieepedia, wikipedia, or their factory submission on Chaos. General materials, such as 'metal' or 'starship components', do not need to be linked.
No member may "claim" an image unless they created it themselves. If the owner of the image asks you to take it down, please do so.
Intentionally breaking these rules or attempting to mislead Judges will incur a minimum 30 day zero-tolerance ban from the Factory or Codex.
General Submission Guidelines
All companies utilized as manufacturers must be hyperlinked to their submission or canonical article.
All droid characters must first be approved through the Factory if their droid models are not canon.
All submissions should reflect the strengths and weaknesses of their materials and components for transparency, balance, fair play, usability, and necessity.
Spoilers are not permitted in submissions. The only exception is for images.
For rules regarding Restricted and Banned Materials, please scroll down to the very end of this thread.
The factory will not base judgments on precedents or the approval of prior submissions. Each submission is unique (one way or another) and will be judged separately.
Technology Forum Rules
Fully constructed lightsabers are restricted to a maximum of Semi-Unique production. Semi-unique is to be used in the case of more than one copy is made, in the case of using dual lightsabers. Otherwise, lightsabers, single especially, must stay UNIQUE
The Armor Rating Extreme will require the submission to be UNIQUE. This armor rating is considered very powerful and are usually dealing with unique items that should be restricted to Player Characters only. Extreme should NOT be used in armor which is made by and used for lower ranking characters(both PC and NPC). It is something which should be earned, and with such, not as easy to attain.
Starships Forum Rules
Particularly rare or powerful special features may necessitate using a lower production (for example, cloaking technology, gemcutters, crystal grav traps, equivalent stealth or anti stealth technologies, or rare canon technologies and their equivalents will only be permitted at Semi-Unique production)
Length of ships allowed is shown below.
Length of ships allowed is shown below.
Organization Rules
Mass producing starships and space stations are capped in number for organizations. This will be moderated by the Factory Administrator, and they shall dictate the number for each organization. This will normally happen through private messaging, with both the organization in question and the Factory Administrator working together to make a reasonable maximum. Factory Administrator has final say.
An organization does not have the resources necessary to role-play having a large fleet, but exceptions will be made for army sizes—only for organizations utilizing droid armies, which must be submitted into the Factory for approval before usage in threads.
Organizations may not have Dreadnaughts.
Faction Rules
Only a Faction has the resources necessary to role-play having a large fleet, army, etc.
Dreadnaughts are allowed, but maximum in a single faction is 5.
Super Star Destroyers / Dreadnoughts
50 different players are required to have a SSD. And in order to gain one, the faction must first complete and get approved 3 planetary campaigns in a month to get the SSD.
Acquiring a Super Star Destroyer/Dreadnoughts are restricted to these rules.
- Each SSD / Dreadnought must be labeled Unique.
- No player may captain a SSD / Dreadnought without the Faction Owner's consent.
- If a Faction is shut down, or merged into another Faction, any SSD / Dreadnought created must be decommissioned and archived. Transfer of these ships will require re-review to ensure they conform to current factory standards prior to recommission. A judge may request additional edits to ensure balance and adhere to board rules.
- Campaigns submitted must be started and completed within the same month to qualify for an SSD / Dreadnaught submission.
Ultimate Creations
We WILL ALLOW things like the Death Star or Star Killer Base or the Star Forge, but it must be faction owned, can be destroyed without the creators permission(this is as according to the RPJs, and must have given approval before posting its destruction… This may include sending a copy of your post to the RPJ monitoring the battle/invasion/defense). Naming can be altered, as the death star is not the only name allowed for a deathstar-like creation.
Star Forge: (Star Forges can only produce SD's as their biggest ships) Max sizes: 50,000 meters tall, 35,000 meters wide. (Must have at least 150 unique members)
