DESCRIPTION
The true weapon of a modern warrior, the T-2 vibro-energy sword is not your ordinary vibroweapon. While sharing the energy cell and high-focused ultrasonic vibration generator common to all vibroweapons, the T-2 is fully capable of withstanding lightsabers blows thanks to an electro-plasma energy filament running along the blade’s edge. The filament is capable of generating energy that coats the edge, giving the T-2 the ability to parry lightsaber blows without sustaining damage. This makes the T-2 a sought-out weapon among groups interested in hunting down lightsaber armed Force users. The blade itself is connected to an ultrasonic vibration generator that creates high-frequency sonic pulses across the cutting edge, giving the weapon its deadliness and ability to cut through most materials with ease. Upon being turned on, the vibrosword produces no audible noise, making it a solid stealth weapon. While not capable of fully surpassing lightsabers in sheer cutting power, the T-2 is void of inability to cut through thin plates of cortosis, ultrachrome, songsteel, and phrik.

Please state how thin the plates of lightsaber resistant materials must be for the T-2 to cut through, as lightsabers(one of the sharpest things out there in terms of what it can and cannot cut) cannot cut through those making this weapon the lightsaber's superior. Also please explain how this vibro-energy sword does this. Funami Teriyaki |

OK, added info on how thick the plates have to be for the sword to cut through.
As for being superior to lightsabers, both have strengths and weaknesses. Lightsabers are not sharp per se, they can cut through almost anything without needing any kinetic energy as the energy blade radiates extreme heat when it comes into contact with another object. Only when cutting through dense material does it meet resistance due to the electromagnetic field surrounding the energy blade.
Vibroweapons cannot cut through walls, unlike lightsabers. Lightsaber resistant materials are generally highly resistant to energy, which makes them immune to lightsabers. Vibro weapons use their extremely vibrating edge to deliver damage. As wiki states, "Vibro-generators, most often found in the hilt or handle of the weapon, sent out high-frequency sonic pulses that could cause anything attached to the generator to be sent into an extremely quick vibration. When the vibroblade contacted something, notably organic tissue, the vibrations rippled across the material, destroying a giant portion of the victim's body and damaging the target more devastatingly than a blade without a generator. This caused even the slightest glancing blow to potentially become a gaping wound. When put up against heavier armor types, a vibroweapon could be upgraded with a focused vibrator cell in order to focus the stabbing point of the weapon and penetrate even through the strongest armors."
