Reports of rebelling slaves on Yavin 4 reached Sith high command. Entrenched within the ruins of the former Rebel Alliance base, these self-liberated freedom fighters proved too ferocious to be rooted out by standard means. Intent on keeping the word of it from spreading too far, command had decided to deal with the situation most firmly and without hesitation. Yavin 4 was a symbol of great victory over the Galactic empire from long ago – and the power of symbolism wasn’t lost on the rebels. The fight for freedom meant to inspire similar sparks of independence throughout the Sith empire was soon to be extinguished, turn bloody and messy, a message to all idealists who dreamt of overthrowing the Sith regime. Two young Sith in training were sent to permanently quell the small pocket of resistance and instill fear in all who would ever dare to think of breaking their chains again. One, a small, spoiled child who appeared nothing like a Sith. The other, a proud bearer of the red Sith ancestry. An unlikely duo in almost every regard, having nothing more than allegiance and connection to the Force in common. A black shadow tore through Yavin’s crying skies, headed toward the planet’s least hospitable parts where strength and adaptability prevailed over the laws of man. A remote Sith outpost stood vigil there, though any observer could see it had seen better days. Heavy raindrops bombarded its battered walls with unyielding fury, and the few sentries stationed outside faced difficulty peering through the surrounding forests. Miles upon miles of lush, overgrown vegetation, undoubtedly full of nasty creatures lurking about and patiently waiting to take a bite of another fool to wander too deep into the jungles, Yavin 4 had to be the most miserable planet Funami had witnessed so far. Rainy, mushy, inhospitable, with no civilization to speak of, it put a frown on her face as the shuttle touched the land and opened. Fancy dress shoes that completed her Atrisian schoolgirl uniform softly tapped over the lowered boarding ramp, unwilling to stray too far from the spacecraft’s cozy embrace. She paid no heed to the red-skinned incarnation of anger.
“Why can’t they ever send me someplace nice?” complained the pink-haired girl, seeing the horrible swamp as far as her sight could reach. That was the worst! Ew! She could deal with Korriban’s sand and Dromund Kaas’ perpetual rain, but mud?! Filthy, bubbling, cold, damp mud?! The thought of stumbling through the wet, miserable jungles made her sick to her stomach.
Before stepping off the ship, Funami raised her tiny parasol to block the thudding downpour. There was no sense in ruining her infinitely fluffy hairstyle. The only thing to carve a smile in her expression was the assembly of Sith troopers. That was good, she wouldn’t have to do all the work. The helmeted gazes turned her way.
“Is that someone’s daughter? She’s so cute!”
“I am Funami Teriyaki, Sith acolyte and the greatest psychokinetic of all time!” announced the petite girl.
“She thinks she’s Sith! Adorable! Someone take her inside before she catches cold!”
Her wish to be both adored and respected had yet to come true. Making a name for herself was imperative, and thus she decided to lower herself to swatting those meddlesome rebels, if only for others to witness her power.

Mavi had been quite eager when she heard she was going to be permitted to help lead troops against a rebellion. The delight of battle quite lit up on her face. However, when she discovered the type of person she was doing this with. A bit of that joy turned into frustration at the arrogant little child. Mavi stepped out cracking her neck as they finally exited the craft, opening up to the forestry. Her eye twitched as the girl fussed about not being somewhere nice. Introducing herself dramatically to the Sith Troops. The desire to kill something was constantly growing. A slight grin grew across her face as the Troops mocked her, not because of the mockery, just because of who it was aimed at. She had thought about how much she could take her anger out on a troop, but just for that, she reconsidered. "Try not to toot your own too much little one. Pride is one thing, arrogance, is another. she said, her face as cold as ice.[/span] The Red Sith looked at her own dress, good, the skirt wasn't quite so long that it'd get in the way when walking in the mud. It'd be dirty soon she imagined, if she ended up in combat, but whatever. That's just how this job went. She walked down casually not hesitating when her black boots hit the ground. "Now get out of your pink cradle and get moving." she said over her shoulder stepping through the mud, and calling a troop to her side, "I want scouts, now, find out every location of these rebels and everywhere one might be straggling. When we're done all we're going to leave is pain and death."
She turned around and crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow and waiting for the girl to enter the mud with a grin as she thought of something extra to say, "Come on now, not afraid of a little mud and dirt now are you oh great one"Mavi didn't exactly hate the child, but she sure did get her frustrated. And she wanted to return the favor, just so long as it didn't jeopardize the mission. Once they got started she could finally release her anger in all its glory against whoever decided to be on the wrong end of her saber. Funami Teriyaki[/font]

Little one?
Being branded a child by the soldiers was one thing. What they thought did not really bother Funami much as it ultimately did not matter. All were equally inferior in her eyes. When other Sith deemed her the same though, she always experienced a sudden need to demolish something with her telekinesis – just to prove the little girl wielded the most destructive power in the galaxy and nobody had the right to look down on her. Her hands clenched into fists for just a moment, ready to squeeze and crush and crush and crush.
“Hmph!” pouted the child, infuriated, determined to show them, prove she was nobody to be laughed at!
The Force was a tool for Sith. For her, a toy. Discovering her gift for telekinesis before she could even walk, Funami had played with the Force throughout her life, abusing it as any curious kid would. With it came certain perks – rarer applications of the Force most had not considered worth training, but appealed to the mind of the child nevertheless. Her expression grew pensive, completely erasing the annoyed pout.
Firmly taking the reins of the Force, she seized her own petite body in a gentle, yet strong grip, and focused on freeing herself from gravity’s oppression. Ever the obedient servant, the Force listened, and soon her feet touched nothing but air and she floated toward the nearest stone. Soft whispers and gasps elicited among the soldiers as the girl levitated over the damp ground and landed on the desired spot without ever touching the muddy earth.
“She is a Sith!”
“She can fly!”
“Tra-la-la~”
Wearing the smug grin of victory, Funami offered an elegant curtsy as if performing a show and gave the red-skinned Sith a look full of feigned pity.
“A Sith fears nothing! I just choose not to look like a swamp beast!” replied the girl, winking and sticking out her tongue before her attention shifted to the infantrymen. All were strong men, she pointed at the biggest one. He'd be blessed with carrying her burden.
“You! Make up for your mistake and carry me on your shoulders!”
Fearing retribution for not recognizing the pink-haired brat a Sith earlier, the bulkiest of the soldiers sheepishly obeyed and Funami no longer had to worry about walking, though not before pulling a handkerchief and wiping the man's helmet and shoulders dry and clean. Only then did she perched herself on the loyal soldier's back. Towering high and above all as it should be, the girl watched the world below with a happy smile.
The lucky trooper addressed by Mavi gulped, caught by surprise, not quite sure what to think about all this. It wasn't every day one met a Sith, especially on backwater worlds of no importance. Reeking of nervousness, he gave a crisp salute and proceeded to speak into the comlink built into his helmet.
“M-my lord!” he stuttered once finished, “Our latest reports say the rebels are holed up in old ruins several clicks from our position. They are well fortified. We haven’t been able to penetrate their defences yet.”
“How pathetic! You cannot do anything without me!” interjected Funami, deliberately pretending the other Sith did not exist.

Mavi narrowed her eyes as the girl floated through the air and the troops practically cheered. Except later of course for the one who ended up having to carry her on his shoulders. And that doesn't make you look like any less of a child at all. Mavi thought to herself. Though she didn't voice it, best not to end up fighting against each other...yet. They mentioned having been hold up in ruins and the soldiers having failed to break them out yet. She let out a low growl, "Then it's time we fix that isn't it." she said. The growl turned quickly into a quiet laugh and smile, "Alright, time to show them what resistance means for them."Quickly she began making her way through, quickly working to get towards the target as soon as possible. Also somewhat hoping whoever had Funami on his shoulders wouldn't be able to keep up, or maybe just might end up stumbling. Wouldn't that be wonderful to see. Or even just find out about later, she really couldn't care right now. Her saber staff entered her left hand, but remained unactivated as they got closer. She turned and whispered to the nearest soldier. "I'll be going in with the intention to break them apart, I don't care if any of you shoot at them while I'm on the inside. It'll just give me more to work with." She glared at Funami, "Well, if you'd like to show off, you'll get that chance soon enough. Just don't screw this up for me." she added grumpily. She was ready to get going, and the moment they'd find the rebellion, she was going to attack. She'd decide what to do on the fly, she was good at that. And a rebellion such as this probably didn't have enough resources to pose a threat to her she believed. "Let's get killing."Funami Teriyaki

“Hmph!” Funami pouted again, quickly averting her gaze from the fellow Sith. While the rustling jungles embodied serenity and that serenity mirrored in her purple eyes, sparks of irritation danced in the irises as well. Worse still, Mavi was unafraid to assume command and lead the company of soldiers to the objective. Unwilling to stay behind and allow someone else bring victory to the empire, Funami knocked on her soldier’s helmet. It attracted his attention without issue.
“My lord?”
“Forward!” She commander her driver and let him carry her after Mavi. To his credit, the man proved to be a strong one, keeping up with his brothers in arms even with Funami sitting behind his neck. Like a giant organism teeming with life, the jungle swallowed them to the last man. The leaves and branches high above their heads assumed the role of a giant umbrella, catching much of the rain. It also turned the environment very dark and fetid. No sane mind would ever volunteer to stay for long. Chances of a sentient being’s long-term survival neared zero. Even non-Force users could sense the feral hunger in the air – enough to send any accidental visitor packing.
And the odor. Funami’s nose wrinkled at the stench of rot and decay permeating the air.
Other than that, Funami cared nothing about the jungle, quickly growing bored of the repetitive sight offered from her lookout. As powerful as she was, telekinesis presented the only power in her arsenal. Sensing others through the Force? Predicting the future moments before it happened? The girl had zero conscious control over these abilities, making them criminally underdeveloped when compared to other Sith students her age. As such, she saw no issue with breaking the silence where others would have remained silent, sensing the numerous lifeforms drawing near.
“Just so you know,” started the pink-haired girl sweetly, pulling out her triumph card, “I met the emperor in person once.”
This was completely true, albeit Funami forgot to mention a few details surrounding the incredibly painful encounter. Ultimately, she had nothing but memories to support such bold claim, but nevertheless hoped to make herself look more important.
The mud underfoot turned deeper, more oppressive, greedily pulling at their legs and turning the march into a slow haul. Squishing and splashing, it impacted mobility to the point a single well-placed heavy repeated would turn any potential battle into a slaughter. Even Funami’s carrier faced difficulty. Very soon, he and his Sith were hopelessly lagging behind. To his credit, the man did not say a word. Only muffled puffs came from beneath the helmet. Not like it convinced Funami to get off and walk on her own. If anything, the increase of mud prompted her to remain sitting.
“Oh. We make an easy target, don’t we?” The human acolyte thought out loud, glancing over the armored troops as the realization hit her.
Her words did not help the matter. The jungle bred paranoia, soaking up sanity like a giant sponge and turning it into madness. Logic warned about snipers or scouts lurking behind every tree. Weapons at the ready, the company of soldiers slowed to a crawl.
More forces than the rebels lurked about. Pairs of hungry eyes stalked the advancing force, hidden behind thick bushes, prepared to feast once the prey grew weaker.

Mavi rolled her eyes at the girl, keeping the walk, herself avoiding some of the sludge, not out of a fear of it, but merely because being too deep in the ground made movement difficult. And there was no point screwing herself over here. A groan came from Mavi as the girl mentioned being an easy target, she was right of course. The troops would have a difficult time with combative movements under these conditions, they needed to start using planks or something, navigate a better route, she made her way back to others, "Start working on a better route, or get us planks to put in front of us to walk on as we go. This mud is becoming a tactical issue." she ordered, her voice was a low growl. Her frustration was clear though it wasn't aimed at the soldier. As little as she wanted to, she came closer to Funami to speak to her, pausing as she sensed the creatures watching them, a grin slowly crawling onto her face as the concept of a quick fight came into play, her eyes didn't actually reach Funami, keeping watch out for creatures. The first one she'd see clearly she intended on ripping to pieces, let out a bit of the anger that had been building up all this time. But she did speak to the girl, "I don't know exactly what experience you have. But if you're gonna speak, at least do something useful hm? You said it yourself, easy target, so do something about it. If something doesn't happen soon I'm going to eat someone or something alive." she said, she wasn't sure she was exaggerating about that. She grabbed the limbs of a tree, launching herself from one to the next, she'd start looking for the creatures around them, her blade ready to activate any moment. And waiting for the men to start carrying out the orders, or for Funami to do something. She wasn't sure which would result in something interesting. But she knew something better happen soon she was just about ready to go into an absolute rage no matter who was in her way. Funami Teriyaki

While educated by a plethora of private tutors, Funami had zero actual experience in most fields. She recalled the Sayings by Uueg Tching, fifty-fourth emperor of Atrisian empire. The man was as shrewd as he was wise, detailing the importance of power, diplomacy, and espionage. Trying to imagine the ideal application of his work on the situation at hand, Funami furrowed her brow, eyes closing. Several plans quickly formulated in her mind, whether they survived reality was another matter. Whatever the case, the muddy path had to be crossed quickly. Getting bogged down equaled a massacre of nasty proportions and Funami wasn’t quite ready to accept failure.
“Do we have another route?” The girl asked her soldier, knocking on his helmet to indicate she addressed him specifically.
“My lord! The jungle is dense. Our only alternative is a cave full of aggressive fauna. The tuk’ata have a hive there. It leads right to the temple, but we don’t know if it’s guarded on the other side or not.”
“Hm,” muttered the child in contemplation, “Your helmets are equipped with low light vision, right? Then let’s lay planks here and wait until nightfall. I suggest we split in two groups. One takes the caves, another quickly crosses the marsh.”
Funami scrutinized Mavi, stopping upon the widely recognized badge of Jedi and Sith alike. Raising her eyebrows in an unspoken question concerning the weapon’s origin, Funami took a few seconds to adjust her strategy accordingly.
“Are you any good with that laser sword? It could make for an excellent distraction.”
Spinning columns of glowing, humming plasma tended to summon attention like bright beacons shining through the night. Everyone would focus on the Sith, knowing that even the greatest swordsman could be overwhelmed with sufficient number of blasters. Few eyes would spot another group sneaking in from behind under cover of night.

Mavi watched quietly in thought when the girl actually started doing her job, well that made her at least a little less irritating. She had her conflicting feelings on the matter of splitting the troops to go through the cave and the others crossing the marsh, but at the very least that way they might be able to come from new angles. But still, it had it's risks with it as well. Eventually the girl game up to Mavi asking if she could use her..."laser sword." Her eye twitched for a moment, "First of all it's called a lightsaber not a freaking laser sword." she growled before somewhat calming down, it could indeed make a good distraction and at least then she could finally DO something, "And yes, for an apprentice, I'm a very skilled combatant with this." she answered looking around and slightly running a finger across her saber in thought, "Had you had an interesting plan or just a vague concept. I'd probably hate you a little less if you actually come up with something. she added. There was about no hesitation mentioning her irritation with the girl two years younger, but at least it wasn't quite as cruel at heart so long as the girl at least proved she could be useful. “Hate makes us powerful!” informed the pink-haired girl and stifled a chuckle, “But I am sure even the lowest of Sith purebloods know that.”
After the not so subtle jab, she watched more men arrive, bringing planks with them. Extending an arm toward the load of wood, she sent a command to the Force, weaving invisible threads and establishing a firm grip. The planks twitched and began to vibrate, then jumped into the air and rushed to cover the unstable ground as if some miraculous workers raced to get the job done as fast as possible. The entire process lasted surprisingly short – most troops watched in awe as the makeshift road constructed itself before their very eyes. With that, the direct path of assault had been opened. Only the back door to the ruins remained; a tedious task to involve pest extermination if the soldiers were to be believed. It was time to split forces and take positions. The sun started to go down, bathing Yavin’s surface in waves of orange.
“Would you prefer to lead the frontal assault or use the caves?” Funami turned to Mavi and quizzically lifted her eyebrows.

Mavi raised an eyebrow, "Not very useful for the dead ones though is it?" she responded with a menacing grin. She caught the mention, but there was no way she was gonna show that. She watched as the girl use her telekinesis once again putting all the boards in place. And then was asked about whether she wanted to lead the frontal assault or go through the caves. She let out a slow groan in thought, the caves meant more fighting sooner, but not necessarily the most intense. If she was going to take full advantage of this, she was going to do it when it was at it's peak, not waste it on some pesky creatures in a cave. "Frontal Assault, I believe that'll fit my style better." she answered simply, "And basically just beating the everliving daylights out of them. You may be a good telekinetic for an acolyte," Mavi twirled the weapon in her hand, "But when it comes to physical combat, I'm the beast." she said with a chuckle. Funami Teriyaki

“Excellent!” Funami nodded, curly pink bangs waving playfully. She had no doubt the makeshift plan of hers would work. After all, a group of hungry and exhausted rebels posed no threat to Sith. If Mavi’s claim meant more than boastful promises she could not deliver, there was little to no shadow of doubt to plague Funami’s mind. Happy, if not outright overjoyed, she looked over their forces and propped her elbows against her two legged steed’s helmet, resting her head in her palms.
“I’ll take half the men and go to the cave. Strike once you hear the sounds of fighting. Onward!” She knocked on her soldier’s helmet again and waved a hand in dramatic fashion, starting the Sith train toward the beast infested cave and splitting the forces for better or worse. Mavi would have a chance to show her saber wielding might and prove the red-skinned Sith were so much more than relics of the past.
The light all around started to die, making the trek a challenge, enough so Funami showed mercy and changed one steed for another. Howls occasionally tore through the jungle, reminding the pink-haired Sith of the beasts prowling about. Snakes and other small, yet incredibly dangerous critters stood no chance when confronting the thudding boots of the troopers. After realizing the failure of pitting their primal instincts against the relentless march, all lifeforms scurried away in terror. Fortunately enough, nothing big crossed their path, enabling Funami and her group to maintain discretion and approach the dark maw unnoticed. Foul stench breathed from the pitch black abyss, marking the word of beasts taking residence within true. A grimace contorted the child's face. Funami regretted allowing Mavi choose between the two paths, but ultimately steeled herself against the gross things to come. Greeted by pitch black night and walls covered in moss, she squinted in effort to see.
“Go in. Slowly.” The child whispered.
The idea of being swarmed by wild beasts was none too appealing.

For a so called Sith this one sure did seem to be...giddy. It was one thing to enjoy something as a sith, if you couldn't what really was the point, but still it just seemed ever so very odd. She watched with a slight groan as the girl took half the troops away into the caves. Mavi leapt onto the planks used for the troops crossing her arms, "Take the path of least resistance, make sure you can move in a moment if you need to. We don't need anyone getting stuck in the mud right now. Use the boards. Let's move." she ordered leading the March again, taking advantage of any roots, and continuing to use the boards to a degree. It was somewhat slower then if they were walking on land for sure, and they had to rotate who was doing the boards, but it was a much superior method then just trying to force their way through. As the light faded more and more Mavi looked at the troops occasionally, she needed to be sure they weren't so paranoid that it was going to be an issue. Eventually when it really started to darken she called a few closer to the front to lead, and begin circling around the troops, essentially keeping lookout, all the while ready to rip something to pieces. Come on come on. Man I wish I could just leave these guys behind, get there myself and get started. She thought frustrated, fidgeting with her weapon, she wanted to get started hours worth of patience was just straight up painful. Funami Teriyaki

Everyone went in. The cave’s gaping maw greedily swallowed the freshest batch of fools to dare venture within, though its dark secrets did not remain hidden for long. Columns of light washed over the cavern’s slippery walls as the troopers turned on their helmet flashlights, illuminating the passageway. Several blinks later and the acolyte’s eyes adjusted to the change. No visual sign of the animals yet. She blinked again as something atop her head rustled.
“Eeek!”
Getting bugs in her infinitely fluffy pink hair pushed Funami over the edge. After removing and mercilessly crushing the unwanted intruders – via telekinesis, of course – she slid off the soldier’s back and touched the ground ever so softly. Folding her arms and pouting, the young acolyte quickly dodged the tell-tale glares. Even though everyone except her wore a full face helmet, she could very well imagine their expressions.
“Well, what are we waiting for, let’s go!” announced the little Sith and took charge, leading way deeper down the darkness. The sound of echoing footsteps was soon disturbed by a series of growls. Like shadows, two Sith hounds black as night emerged from the shadows, leaping forth.
Fingers wiggling, arms extended reaching out, Funami wrapped invisible cords of telekinetic energy around each beast, stopping their charge and having them hover in place. The sight of two helpless tuk’ata struggling in the air raised a smile. Wordlessly and without need for orders, the soldiers leveled their guns at the pacified duo and unleashed a short-lived barrage.
Barking happily, the bright red shots tore into the animals and left them still. A single thud as both carcasses fell and the group continued deeper into the cave.

Nothing. Nothing? Nothing! Mavi got more and more frustrated with the constant waiting but complete lack of any attention from the predators she knew had to be somewhere nearby, but still felt was entirely too irresponsible to leave the troops. Her frustration was becoming physically palpable to the soldiers, some of whom began to watch her as she zipped around them her breathing growing quicker and deeper with each moment until she let out a series of roars and a moment later they saw several trees shredded to the ground in a blur of red light as she tore through them out of sheer fury before suddenly appearing in front of a troop the blade raised over her head, the man leapt back in shock but the weapon didn't come down on him, she just remained there, hatred boiling in her eyes as she let her breathing calm down, cracking her neck by forcing it to the side on its own and then deactivating the weapon putting it back on her belt. "Move faster." She ordered started to pace back and forth from the front to the back, she wasn't bothering to look around anymore. If anything wanted to attack them so be it she'd tear that apart to. Why'd she have to decide and wait, this was ridiculous. Just keep going, just keep going. Don't overdue it. You nearly killed one of the troops. Of course, you could probably get away with it you'd just have to end the rest of them right? Or let them die in battle. These things happen. No that would look bad, very bad. Besides you don't need to do that you can just wait.Funami Teriyaki

One did not have to be Force sensitive to feel a foreboding sense of dread. Although heaps of rotting bones crackled underfoot, there were no more tuk’ata to be found. No matter how hard the lights searched, casting illumination down every nook and cranny, there was not a single living thing. Several men lowered their guard and blaster rifle, the sudden relieve too much to bear. The stench had gotten worse though. The armored servants of the Sith wore helmets, but there was nothing to filter the stale air for the little child, and so Funami rushed ahead, umbrella in hand. Images of blindly running into a hungry beast and staring down its throat entered her thoughts, and so she pointed the closed umbrella like a mighty spear and trusted it’d be enough to prevent her from being eaten should the morbid thoughts come true.
Suddenly, the padding little shoes came to a halt as she saw the moon’s silver tongue on the other side of the hallways she stood in. The exit. Their destination. Her soldiers caught up in a second and she let them spearhead the way. Not even halfway through, it became apparent what happened to the large number of beasts that were supposed to reside within.
Bits and pieces of viscera and bone coated the surroundings. It seemed like the slaves had already solved the pest problem through heavy firepower. Funami hopped among the torn carcasses, fully focused on avoiding the bloody gore strewn all over. Another step and all eyes turned toward the light at the end of the tunnel as the grenade launched thudded thrice. Three round objects shot into the cave and rested on the floor, only to return the same way they came via Funami’s telekinetic command. The ensuing explosion boomed through the jungle and heralded the start of the rebellion’s end.
"All right. Let's hole up in here and wait for a bit." Funami announced with a grin, much to everyone's surprise.
"But my lord, our men are counting....," interrupted a soldier and the acolyte waved his issue away.
"They'll be fine. Everyone will shoot at the red lightsaber. Let the Sith soften up the defences before we move in and finish it."
