On the planet of Zonmira, a good couple of kilometers from Zonmira City, stood the fabled Arena of War. Surrounded by the second biggest lava lake on the planet, it was accessible only by speederbike through a rough path. It’s purpose was to increase the potency if anyone who trained inside its walls, and today that someone would be an apprentice named Funami. Lord Kao had set up the Arena for her arrival, and had given her directions via hologram to get to the speeder bike and then to his Arena. In the arena were numerous boulders of grand proportions, many taller than the arena’s walls. Then there were metal beams and pipes ready to be telekinetically bent, and rocks the size of a standard stormtrooper’s helmet ready for throwing. It would be a fun day for Kao Xusros, the Lord Kao, Lord of Darkness and Minister of War. The reason for this training was to show the apprentice who truly was powerful with telekinetics in the Sith Empire, as her Master had recently pulled him aside and asked him to engage her in telekinetic training exercises. It wouldn’t be just exercises though, it would be scenarios where failure would mean pain, and enough failure could mean death. Lord Kao currently was out of sight, waiting for the girl to arrive. Funami’s crimson cape playfully fluttered in the wind as its owner firmly held onto the droid driver piloting her speeder bike. The air was unbearably dry and hot, smelling of sulfur and ashes, and the only reap protection little Funami had was the Force imbued cape draped around her small shoulders. With the Force coursing through the silk, extreme heat faced difficulty overwhelming the young apprentice’s body. Despite looking fairly ordinary, if posh, the piece of cloth presented Funami’s growth as Sith also; anyone who had met the Atrisian in the past would likely notice her wardrobe had changed, boasting darker colors as of late. Her trademark pink hair of infinite fluffiness remained, even as the wind mockingly toyed with her bangs. She cared not, remaining the most adorable Sith in the order’s history.
Barren rocks and lakes of searing lava made for quite interesting scenery, and so the pink-haired child’s eyes had something to watch on the way. The Sith empire certainly knew how to pick interesting yet deadly locations – and in a way, Funami approved. Success or death, growth through strife. Such was the way of the Sith. She had little doubt the invitation would challenge her, push her to grow stronger. The only regret she had was not grabbing another snack before the journey. Telekinesis had a strange way of influencing her body and she had a feeling the training would result in her incredibly hungry.
Alas, it was too late to worry about trivial matters. The great lava lake appeared in sight, glowing with scorching, bright red heat. Funami let her violet eyes feast on the view until the artificial pilot brought the bike to the dark pit that was the arena. Little shoes completely unfit to walk through hazardous environment touched the warm floor and Funami turned to the robotic driver.
“Thank you. Stay here. I will be back.”
The restraining bolt within the machine made disagreement or objections impossible, sentencing the droid to obey without complaints.
Leaving the artificial servant behind, Funami's socked feet padded forth. Arms under the cape, she kept as much of her body as possible shielded and hidden, alongside her curved friend clipped onto her belt. Casting her gaze about, she scrutinized the objects scattered about and figured out those would be today’s tool to exercise her psychokinetic abilities. Blinking, the girl cast a look over her shoulder in search of the one who had invited her; lord Kao himself.

Lord Kao heard the little apprentice order her driver to stay put. He didn’t know whether her driver was droid or human, but he didn’t really care, as the droid would most likely melt and a human driver would die from the heat. Drivers were not Force-Sensitive, so they couldn’t alter the environment to cool themselves off. As the little girl plodded her way through the entrance, Kao, still in the shadows, decided to announce his presence in a way not unknown to the Sith. He telekinetically plucked the girl up into the air, bringing her up a couple of meters. He then proceeded to twirl her around slowly in the air and removed from her side her lightsaber, and whirled it around too. “And who do we have here, what weapons you bring? Announce yourself before you enter! Were you my apprentice I would have skinned you alive for such incompetence!”Lord Kao then jumped down into the arena, hovering telekinetically, until his feet touched the ground. He also released his hold on the girl with her pink hair, and watched her fall to the ground. Not even bothering to see how she landed or if she was ok, he started their training. “Let me give you your first lesson... always announce yourself in one way or another. A good way is through attacking, but the more formal way is through verbal announcement. Now, I am Lord Kao, Lord of Darkness ad the Minister of War. And WHO ARE YOU!” Funami Teriyaki

Out of nowhere, with no announcement to herald their arrival, strong, invisible hands brought her into the air and left her to hover meters above ground. Too familiar with psychokinetic powers, Funami immediately figured out the cause and mentally cursed the one responsible. Not again! Being lifted by another’s telekinesis and floating helplessly always served as a painful reminder there were certain individuals who dwarfed her prowess. The girl concealed a grimace, but only until her cape fluttered seemingly on its own and she was one lightsaber poorer. A sad, violet gaze followed the graceful weapon as it parted her belt and boastfully swaggered through the air.
A dark frown crossed her features. Another thing she could hardly stomach – others effortlessly robbing her of the weapon she had so painstakingly designed and constructed despite believing she had no need of it. Darth Doom, the last man to temporarily claim the curved hilt as a trophy, had been promptly beheaded by the little pink-haired terror moments after his mockery. As for the minister of war, Funami had decided to avoid drawing his ire too much and replied with silence. The thought of pitting her telekinesis against his had entered her mind, but never made it past the thought stage.
Suddenly free, her little body succumbed to gravity and headed down. The Sithling’s fall was graceful, slow. Her shoes kissed the hot ground with such gentleness it defied all common sense, demonstrating she, too, could use telekinesis for levitation. And there she stood, putting on the sweet smile of a poisoner, eyes wide open and watching the Sith lord with unconcealed curiosity rather than fear. Offering an elegant curtsy, the girl bowed her head, bent the knees outward and swept her right foot behind her while holding her skirt out ever so slightly.
“I am Funami Teriyaki, my lord. Apprentice of Darth Malice.“ Funami said, though held no doubt lord Kao already knew all that. Unless there were more living beings scheduled to arrive and provide live target practice – not entirely uncommon among Sith to test their powers on one another.

The girl having announced herself as the apprentice of Darth Malice, the Dark Councilor who had set up their training session in the ordering of Lord Kao to do it. Now Kao did not like being ordered around by his "superiors" as a Sith Lord but he also understood that failing to comply could mean either the end to his ascension in ranks or an end to his life. The reason as to why he had so willingly complied in the first place was because Darth Malice had described the girl as highly skilled in Telekinetics. Now, Lord Kao was one of the Sith Empire's most highly trained Sith in the field of telekinesis, and with such always kept an eye out to try to find others like him. And now he had found one. Her telekinetic training had started already, but Lord Kao was here to test whether or not she was worthy of being taught how to control more through the art of telekinesis. The arena had been set up so that the giant crags and boulders taller than the arena's walls were all to their right, smaller boulders were straight ahead of them, and the helmet size rocks were to their left. He pointed to the right and then brought his hand over to where it pointed in front of them, and then to their left at the helmet sized rocks. "These will all be used in today's tests." And with his hand still raised and pointing towards the left, Lord Kao commanded: "Now lift these up until they are high enough for me to walk under!"

A look of sharp attentiveness came over her expression, intently watching Lord Kao present the starting trial. Three different sizes, three different exercises serving as a warm-up for what was to come after. Hopefully something to broaden her horizons, Funami needed that sort of thing. Although a powerful little Sithling, she was still very much a child and her applications of telekinesis, tremendously strong as they were, lacked refinement. The daunting obelisks towering over the arena’s edge were thankfully left for later; for now, Funami had to move a number of rocks the size of her head. Easy enough – despite not knowing their exact weight and realizing she would normally face difficulty carrying even one due to her physically underdeveloped form, the matter of lifting them with her mind was beyond trivial for someone of her capacity. Adept at telekinesis by the age of four, she effortlessly picked each and every stone in her invisible grasp without as much as lifting a finger, displaying an alarming degree of skill for one so young. A slight turn of her head to the side and Funami witnessed the assembly of stones silently rise high into the air as one. Their ascent ended in a prompt halt that left them to hover and wordlessly observe the burning scenery.
“Child’s play, my lord.” Funami stated as a matter-of-factly and felt the corners of her mouth tug upwards.

Funami had picked up only the smallest possible group of the smallest rocks, the helmet shaped ones. Now Lord Kao was upset in this, a he had pointed to all of the rocks and boulders and obelisks in the arena. There was only one way to start out their training, and that was to see what her limit was. Then he would move on and increase that limit, until her limits became her maximum.
"Did i not warn you that these would ALL be used? I pointed to what you were to lift, yet you only lifted the lightest. And they say that you are telekinetically gifted. Ha! Prove it. Prove it to me that you have the strength to be a Sith. Show me your power, show me it all. NOW!" Kao thundered at the poor child, who was smirking at the thought of having pleased him. This had been a test of how much she was paying attention to what he was doing, and at their surroundings. Sith always had to watch their surroundings, for the worlds which they controlled had, well lets say, very "nice" flora and fauna. Basically just stepping a couple of meters outside of a civilized area brought about the risk of being attacked by aggressive plants, animals, or to be killed by the hostile environments alone. The Surface of Zonmira, for example, had an atmosphere of II and III in most places due to the intense heat and the only civilized areas were situated within zones of atmosphere I type. Now, Kao was wearing his armor, so his face was not visible through the darkness of his helmet. His voice could be heard clearly, as the only other sound in the arena was that of lava gushing outside and of ashes coating the walls. Such tiny sounds, yet in the vast emptiness of the region of lava and volcano in which they stood, the Arena was the only hospitable place. It was quiet, and Lord Kao stood patiently, with his arms clasped behind his back, watching to see what the apprentice could do. He hoped that she would surprise him, as he did not like to waste his time on trivial matters such as incompetent apprentices or people who boast without reason... Funami Teriyaki

Unfazed, the Sithling’s cool gaze watched the Sith lord’s angry outburst unleashed on her little pink-haired head. It painted an amusing image in her mind – the rage taking place beneath the dark mask, the contorted grimace of pure anger. Crossing her arms over her chest and tapping a foot in impatience, she waited for him to finish and used his belittling remarks to fuel her furnace of black fury within. A much needed step for the task ahead. Even though her appearance spelled nothing but cute, Funami was a Sith through and through. To dark side practitioners like her, strong emotions were resources like any other. Managing them properly meant seizing the dark side’s leash and command its unnatural power at will; and Funami was a good manager. Still holding the smallest set of rocks in the air, the Sithling cast a sideways glance at the dark, armored figure.
“Ah. But it’s not my fault someone’s communication skills are lacking, my lord. If you wanted me to lift all these rocks, you shouldn’t have pointed at the small ones…~” Funami squeaked and turned her attention to the matter at hand.
Like a raging tornado, she abruptly spun on a heel and raised both hands to the dark, ashen skies to call upon the infinite power of the dark side. Gone was the small adorable cupcake; just like Malice had taught her, Funami drank deep from the well of fury within, forging passion into a source of unnatural power. Focus was paramount if she were to succeed. Moving her hands further up ever so slightly, she commandeered the invisible claws of the Force to assist her in raising the remaining stones and obelisks. Like properly beaten slaves hearing their master’s call, the variously sized rocks rose from their resting place and started their ascent. Slowly, very slowly, but successfully nevertheless.
Weight itself did not pose a problem for Funami, for she knew she could lift these rocks with the Force. Her mind had prevailed over matter long ago. The memory of it came to her – she saw herself, telekinetically lifting what seemed like a small, light pot with no effort. Only later did she discover the pot to be massively heavy. As such, when it came to telekinesis, the concept of weight was only an issue if she fell for its blatant lie stating she was too weak and tiny to lift such heavy objects. There was no issue there; it was their large number that made the Sithling’s knees tremble. Requiring focus and the utmost concentration to hold so many objects in the air and deny gravity its power was hard on one’s mind. Beads of sweat finally graced the fluffy-haired child’s brow as only sheer effort prevented her from dropping the objects.

So the girl could do it... Darth Malice was correct once more. Kao watched with a hint of pride at seeing the girl lift everything in the arena. He was no longer the only one who was truly gifted in the art of telekinesis, and here standing before him was his proof. She had gone quiet seconds before, but he had also heard what she had said. Murmurs are still able to be heard when your surroundings are filled with silence. And with what she had said, Kao knew that it was time to take the training up a notch. "Move what you have and create a picture or a sculpture. Something artistic. Now, this will be testing your precision at manipulating objects telekinetically. As you make whatever you wish to make, i would like you to describe your emotions, your thoughts, and what you are doing. If i hear the right things, then all will go well. If not, well then things will only get harder. You have passed your first mini-test of today, the test of strength. Now it is time for precision. Once you are done with this i shall demonstrate to you the next. And we will continue like this, no breaks no nothing. Just Me, you, and the Force." Kao said in a tone of somewhat indifference which only barely managed to hide his glee. It was a pity that she was apprenticed to Darth Malice, for if he had more time with her, then she could definitely have progressed to levels unheard of in the realm of telekinetic force augmentation and usage... Funami was no artist – definitely no painter or sculptor worthy a mention. And she had never used the Force to create a piece of art unless one counted decorating walls with someone’s guts. Always using psychokinesis in forceful ways, she realized the task’s difficulty had skyrocketed. With her mind already occupied, imaginative thoughts and vibrant sparks of creativity faced great difficulty entering the girl’s consciousness. To build something – it meant even less concentration was devoted to keeping the stones afloat and for a moment she thought all her effort would tumble down alongside the rocks. Fortunately enough, she caught herself before the worst could happen, restoring her concentration and devoting more time to mindlessly going through idle thoughts and having the stones circle about one another in a curious, yet undoubtedly bone-shattering whirlwind.
“I feel frustrated,” admitted the young Sith apprentice, every word formulated slowly as if uttering it too fast would cause the psychokinetic hold to diminish, though her frustration ironically strengthened her grip, “I keep imagining a giant hand holding the rocks in the air, but I cannot decide on what to build. It angers me.”
The stones started rotating faster and crash into one another, making enough noise to wake the dead until all joined in a makeshift cairn-like structure that strongly resembled an egg. The shape continued to adjust and turn still, with smaller rocks collapsing into the levitating mass until it it turned into a heart shaped sculpture held together solely by her telekinesis.

The girl took up the task immediately, but once started she could only try and finish. Kao knew that the idea of art wasn't very prevalent in Sith ideology, but the matter of precision and concentration would be of grave importance. Funami seemed to waver a bit, and then admitted to being frustrated. All that Kao said to that was "Good". He said so softly, but with enough force for the message to be understood. Frustration builds determination, but the key to success was in control. As the stone objects began to twirl around in the air, they created a whirlwind of earthen stone. It sped up to the point where the girl began to perspire, and Kao began to truly see her limits. Raw power she had, but not enough refinement... She was however able to make a three dimensional heart made of pummeled stone and cracked boulders. The test had been passed, with the result questionable in design but acceptable in functionality. "Good job. You have completed this test also. After this we shall proceed to the true lesson." And with that being said, Lord Kao took a step backwards, and then fashioned out of thin air a spear of pure dark energy-a Darkshear. This semi-transparent shard of black energy he threw telekinetically towards the biggest crack in the sculpture, where upon impact it would split the structure back up into pieces which would become usable in the lesson. Her eyes went wide with terror and she could only watch the bolt of malevolent energy start toward her sizable formation of rocks. Coldly drilling through the unyielding stone, it took a hungry bite while digging deeper and caused a chain reaction of destruction by spewing several rocks out of her telekinetic grasp. She knew what was going to happen next, yet discovered herself attempting to prevent it anyway. Another invisible hand raced forth, but trying to catch the small fragments resulted in her focus stretching too thin. Unable to prevent disaster from occurring, she quickly froze several falling rocks in the air and accidentally allowed others to succumb to gravity. In a chaotic, disorderly fashion, her psychokinesis went in all directions and her creation crumbled down like a sand castle.
“Oh no!”
