SPECIAL FEATURES
*The entire set of clothing has been enchanted much in the way a Talisman of Counterspell or Shield Talisman is. Because of the existing aspects of the Rancor hide, it already had a good resistance to energy weapons. When enchanted this was even further increased, however instead of absorbing it, it would reflect most of the energy back. This was mostly a side effect, the true intents was to stop force powers and magic. Like the Talisman of Counterspell, the armor will reflect magick right back at those who use it against Xura or whoever is wearing the armor, and works the same with most force powers from lightning to telepathy.
*Lightweight: The armor is very lightweight and easy to move around in, allowing Xura to easily use his high speed high agility style of combat.
*Rancor hide: Because a lot of it is made up of Rancor hide, it’s a fairly durable material, and the Spider Silk also used is rather sturdy. Meaning in spite of it’s flexibility, it’s still a good defense.
Strengths:
*Extreme resistance to force and magick which reflects back at the user, encasing him in an almost impenetrable field against force users.
*Very high resistance to energy based weaponry
*Fairly good resistance against cutting and tearing
*Lightweight and easy to move in.
*Can still use magick and the force, but to a bit of a lesser extent.
Weaknesses:
*Only provides a little resistance against things used on the face, as the mask doesn’t cover the eyes and parts of the neck or head can end up exposed.
*Not a whole lot of protection against fully kinetic or edged weaponry since it was based on protecting against energy and the force.
*Almost no protection against most environmental issues like the cold, acids, liquids, or gasses.
*Unless one removes the area they are trying to help or effect, no helpful force or magickal ability can be used on him either.
*Doesn’t prevent force use outside of the armor, just on it or within it by someone outside it.
*Does weaken his own force and magickal powers outside of his own body, but not completely as it was designed to prevent exterior use inwards. Especially powerful abilities are practically impossible with the full armor on.
DESCRIPTION
Xura’s armor was created with the realization he was far below his siblings in terms of pure power. But while he might have lacked the raw ability and knowledge they possessed, he was a truly skilled warrior. So he took a chance, knowing it would inhibit certain advantages that he might otherwise have, he worked to create a set of armor made of things he was familiar with. Using Spider silk, Rancor hide, and Rancor bone, to create a simple set of armor, and then using what he did know about magick to enchant it akin to that of the Talisman of Counterspell or a Shield Talisman, something that took him months to manage properly. Going to it daily and expending himself trying to make it work.
It had it’s disadvantages of course, Xura was now completely helpless from his allies if he was knocked unconscious and they couldn’t get to him. As they would be unable to lift him with magick, or use revitalization of the whuffa on him with his armor still on. And in some ways it could inhibit his own use of abilities in magick or the force. Still, he considered it a success, and his immense physical abilities and skills would have to suffice most of the time.
