OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
* Intent: An easy to obtain VM multipurpose droid, and common droid for the Dathomir Military
* Image Source: Link
* Canon Link: Nightsister service droid
* Primary Source: Nightsister service droid
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
* Manufacturer: Venas Mor
* Affiliation: Open Market
* Model: VMS-1 Venas Mor Servent 1
* Production: Mass Produced
* Modularity: Relatively easy to alter, easy to progra
* Material: Durasteel, droid components,
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
* Classification: The VMS-1 Actually can fit all five degrees of droids
* Weight: 85 kg
* Height: 2 meters
* Movement: Bipedal
* Armaments: Armaments must be supplied
* Misc. Equipment:
Head:
Basic sensor set
Thermal sensor
Long range sensor set/built in rangefinder
Built in comms sensor and extendable signal booster
Basic Voicebox
Chest:
Basic Sensor set (chest)
Artificial intelligence and databanks (considerable storage permits wide range of programming possibilities)
Joints: Easy to bend allow the droid to be collapsable and fit in large quantities in smaller areas.
SPECIAL FEATURES
-Chest primary: Unlike many droids the VM servant droids have their primary systems and AI in the chest of the unit. This allows it to keep functioning even when most of it is destroyed and keeps its systems safer, this also means every appendage can be relatively easy to alter so long as its properly connected with the chest.
-The head has longer sensors and thermal imaging for better vision capabilities in low environements
-Waterproof: Due to the range of terrain on Dathomir and large plant life the VM servent droids are actually designed to survive more situations then most droids, letting them survive the waters of Dathomir if needed.
-Easy to program as they have large databanks
-Have a very wide range range of skills at relatively low or moderate skill, allowing them to be used in almost any situation
-Built in comm systems allows silent communication to others.
Strengths:
-Jack of all trades. Can operate machinery, work as engineers, combatants, servent, protocol droids. Most have a wide range of low level programing and memory but can easily be updated.
-Average speed, around average human.
-Around three times stronger than humans for lifting power
-Can fold for easy transport
-Good armoring on chest
-Waterproof
-Humanoid build gives wide variety of applications
-Long vision and thermal imaging.
-Chest holds most important systems and extra sensors.
-Easy to alter/upgrade
Weaknesses:
-Breaking chest destroys machine
-Limbs are relatively easy to damage with most firearms, somewhat harder than the B1 battle droids.
-Removal of head removes voice box, limits sensors to directly forwards, removes comms system, and thermal imaging
-Not preprogrammed to be highly skilled in anything. Still very average
-In spite of their strength, it’s primarily for lifting. They could easily lift a human, but they wouldn’t be able to throw them very far as they aren’t fast enough.
DESCRIPTION
Dathomir has had Servant droids for Centuries, however they were mostly used for trivial matters for Nightsisters. With the more wide range of resources the Dathomir Collective gained access to, they decided to take advantage of their models, and officially become droid manufacturers. Starting with a multipurpose droid that was easy to make and alter, that they could sell but also use themselves. The VM Servant Droids are not particularly impressive in the sense they have no specialty, rather they can do almost any job, medical, mechanical, pilot, search, protocol, already many jobs are built in somewhat into their chests where the AI and Databanks are all held, this allows the droid to perform almost any function, though usually only at the most basic level. Though they are designed to be able to be given more intense programming, they are not sold or built that way. The VM Servant droids do possess voice boxes, but they only use them for talking directly to their biological superiors or if speaking to another being directly, they use their built in comms systems to communicate with each other and to remote allies.
