OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To create a sophisticated, durable, and lethal raiding ship that is capable of hard-hitting stealthed raids against even the most well protected of worlds. Also, to create a ship that can be used in a variety of ways and forms that can be easily produced and reproduced in both large and small scale in a simple format. Lastly, to create a ship that helps bring the Mandalorians back to their raider heritage and to influence Mandalorian culture towards a more clan/homestead and familial basis centered around the freedom of choice.

DESCRIPTION:
The Orar'uliik is the bastard child of generations of raiding culture lost to modernization and the very same modernization that overtook the old ways. Designed to be robust, fast, and reliable in almost every way, the ship is highly modular and the most advanced of its kind, kept for official military use, sport the absolute best in durability, stealth, and speed in the galaxy. All these attributes coupled with the ease, simplicity, and speed of the ship's assembly make the Orar'uliik, or Thunder Beast in Mando'a, the most terrifying raiding ship of its kind currently in existence in the galaxy.
The basis of the ship is its design, construction, and materials. The simplest of these is the design itself. The Orar'uliik's plans and schematics are detailed and complex, but are simple to follow and understand. Those building the ship find that the vessel requires only the knowledge of basic mechanics and electronics and the knowledge to use the tools required. The construction is fairly simple and can be done with proper materials and manpower in a month or less, usually in two to three weeks or so. However, even when manpower is scarce, the ship can still be built, but over one to three months. This means that even small clans or homesteads can construct an Orar'uliik over time, something unseen in any current ship on the market. The materials are extremely basic and consist of the standard shipbuilding materials available to most markets. The components don't even require machining if machining equipment is not available. Metal panels and bulkheads function just as well when cast, forged, or stamped meaning that ships can be built from machined parts or even assembled with handmade components. This makes the ship easily reproduced, simply made, and extremely reliable as if a ship is damaged, the homestead can repair the vessel for nearly no cost so long as the parts or materials are handy.
The weapons are simple, but can vary from ship to ship. The standard military variants feature four warhead launchers and four point defense missile systems. Coupled with this are a pair of composite beam lasers and two Connor net launchers used for direct fire support and ship incapacitation respectively. Civilian ships will often feature some mix of the weapons and well funded ships may feature all of them.
The ship is robust, but also well armored in most cases. Ships under military use are plated in beskar and heavily reinforced to enhance survivability and durability. Military variants also feature a full stealth suite featuring a stygium cloak and a variety of other modules such as ion scramblers and gravitic modulators, for example, making the ship almost impossible to detect or trace.
To make certain the ships can enter areas quietly and discreetly, military ships are fitted with the Dha'karbakar Hyperdrive, allowing the raiding vessel to enter enemy space with a higher chance of avoiding detection by lessening the impact as the ship reverts to realspace. For quick escapes in the event of enemy interdiction, the military variants are fitted with Retlini S-Thread boosters, allowing the ships to force open a path through enemy interdiction for a short distance to allow a safe and speedy escape.
Military ships are also fitted with Peregrine field disruptors, allowing the Orar’uliik to bypass shields with easy, though the ships must decloak or have their stealth generators burn out indefinitely. Official military variants are also fitted with Mandal Hypernautics maneuvering modules that allow the ship to surprise enemy craft and avoid danger through boosting speed or outright blasting the ship sideways with powerful thrusters.
Lastly, the ship is fitted with a hull-cutting ring and a variety of EMP and ion shielding. These modules allow the ship to cut through enemy ship hulls to launch boarding actions as well as protecting the ship from enemy electrical, ion, and EMP attacks that could damage or disable the ship.
