SPECIAL FEATURES
The Talismans offer the ability to transform parts or all of the body into those of a Saurian flier, at will. This gives the user (in the case of most), increased physical durability, greater speed, greater sight, and depending on what is transformed, may also give them powerful toothy jaws, sharp claws for hands and feet, wings, and a strong tail. It may additionally increase their size when shifting, due to the largeness of an adult flier.
Strengths:
-The ability to pick and choose what to transform mid battle allows them to more efficiently optimize the Talisman.
-Certain control over where the transformations begin or slightly alter them (ex, can have wings which start disconnected from arms, can have both upper hands clawed and feet if not fully transformed)
-Increased durability due to thicker and tougher skin
-Greater speed/strength/viciousness
-More bodily weapons, clawed hands/feet, sharper mouth, horns.
-Better sense of sight
-Flight speed of up to 70 mph and more casually at 55 mph without any further enhancement.
-Excellent at diving through air and shortly underwater
-Eagle like sight
-Looks like a piece of jewelry, easy to hide or wear.
-Forms into the body when transformed.
-Can withstand lower oxygen levels and moving at far greater speeds.
-Only an individual aware of how it completely functions and capable of the force can wield it to its fullness. All others can do is activate and deactivate it.
Weaknesses:
-The Talisman itself can be destroyed when not fully transformed with just a good blaster shot or hammer. Which would destroy its ability with a burst of magick.
-Still vulnerable to damage when transformed, the body does become more resistant, but can be damaged by lightsabers and most other weapons, it’s just more difficult especially for material weapons.
-Users can have difficulty using all their gifts in the force and magick when fully transformed.
-The Talisman does not completely disappear when fully transformed, rather it is more like it imbeds itself deep into where it is nearest when the body goes completely transformed, though is not unpleasant. Thus it can be damaged still.
-If completely destroyed or removed while user is transformed in any way due to its power, all changes will remain.
-Do vary somewhat in their design and power, as while they all draw from the Ur-spirits of the same species, they actually draw from different ones still. Resulting in considerable variation. This can be seen as good or bad.
-Give off a stronger aura in magick and in the force whether used or not. Which can be hidden, but makes it more difficult.
-Void stones, Ysilmir fields, Jedi Light, and other External Force Preventive measures will prevent the Talisman from using any of its power, thus leaving the person however they were when the measures were used, whether not transformed at all, fully, or somewhere in between.
DESCRIPTION
The use of Talismans has long been something the witches of Dathomir have made use of for Transformation. However while most previous versions only had one, the Scari Talismans have some variations. While most in the past had only one complete direction and return, normal to creature and back, the Scari talismans were designed to allow them to pick and choose how they would be changed. As there are far more Scari Talismans then most others, this has also resulted in a considerable variety, all empowered by a different spirit but of the same species. As a result there are differences in the Talismans. They also are often made differently themselves, some being rings, while others are necklaces. But all are a gem on a metal fixture.
They were designed by Zenon in his research of Magick and the force. This technique he called the Scari Transformation. As while it was still based on the same magick, it had its own evolution. This technique of the Scari was taught to some Witches capable, and powerful enough, to learn it, in order to create a larger number of the Talismans.
