STANDARD FEATURES
All Standard features
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
-Life support systems
-Dining/cooking halls
-Living quarters
-Easy access cargo hold
-Fighter hangar fitted with repair and refuel equipment.
-Typical features for a craft of this design.
Strengths:
-The tank: The GRV-4 is a dangerous mix of armor and armament, putting it at a serious advantage over smaller or most equal craft by just powering through the enemy rather then trying to outmaneuver them. Meanwhile it’s room for a squadron allows it to also adapt to if it’s opponent has an unexpected variable, using the fighters to take it out.
-Easy access to the cargo hold from the exterior when ship is landed via dock controlled opening, permitting release or import of vehicles or equipment.
Weaknesses:
-Slow and heavy: The GRV was not meant to be a speedy or maneuverable craft. It would be incredibly easy to outmaneuver it and puts it at a disadvantage when it’s the smaller craft, as it can’t easily evade it’s enemy.
Description:
Crew: 200
Passengers: 200
Consumables: 1 year
Cargo Capacity: 50 additional Tonnes, large space for a variety of cargo including vehicles or large parts.
The GRV Heavy Corvette was designed off of the Vigil Class Corvette used by the Empire in it’s basic exterior design. And while it is likely slower than the original, it is not designed to be a pursuit craft. The GRV is an excellent large landing craft or lone defense unit against relatively small assault groups. While it would not do so well in an all out war, much like the original which would often not be used in battles where star destroyers were more fitting, it still is a good tool for the Republic in a variety of tasks.
