Strengths:
-The VM Frigate is a good enemy to large slow ships like cruisers and star destroyers due to its good armaments and higher speed. While also posing as a good threat to other frigates and fighters due to its armaments.
-Only requires one pilot, and can be fully crewed by six-7 people.
-Can function both for space battles, and as a good gunship and transport, able to carry around 150-200 passengers.
Weaknesses:
-Low armor: While the Frigate is a good ship for battle and transport, it does not hold as well defensively, and doesn’t hold up the same amount of armor as other Frigates might.
-Turbolaser limitations: Turbo-lasers can have difficulty in atmospheric situations, which can limit their range and effectiveness considerably. Limiting the ships armaments when in atmospheric conditions.

The VM Frigate is actually based off the DP20 Frigate created by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. While the design is certainly somewhat different, a good look at its functionality and armaments to check leaves it incredibly clear. It was a design easy to obtain, as the ships were considered rather old, and so buying them in order to update or recreate them meant it was financially a fairly safe choice. And due to their multiple uses, made it seem like it’d make an excellent common tool for the Dathomir Collective.
