GENERAL INFORMATION

* Description: Neidna are split into 2 races, the High Neidna and the Remnants. The High are elegant and human in appearance where the Remnants are more brutish and monstrous in appearance

* Distinctions: The Neidnas have biomechanical fangs and claws that they can deploy to scare off or feed from prey, both races within the species have these but in the High Neidnas they tend to be hidden from sight whereas with the Remnants they are out in the open more. Their skin is actually an exoskeleton that protects them from the strong gravity of the planet and also acts as a defense against energy and blade based attacks. It also provides some resistance to lightsaber attacks but will crack after consecutive blows.

Weaknesses:
* Darkside dependant - If they encounter a void or lightside energy, it can suffucate them and cause them to choke and splutter as if being deprived of air.
* When they open to feed, their soft muscular tissue underneath becomes open to attack. An attack here would cause them severe damage.

* Religion/Beliefs: Those with force capabilities are considered gods amongst their people and are treated as such usually ending up holding places of power within their culture
* General behavior:The High Neidnas hold family and societal progress in high regard. Remnants are sent to work hard labour whist the High live a life of luxury. Heavily aligned with the darkside of the force they indulge themselves in the pleasures it brings. When they wish to find a mate, they approach the laboratories and they donate their dna which is then screened heavily for issues. A suitable mate is then chosen and the dna is mixed to create an offspring, this is then injected into the ‘mother’ to be grown. The Neidnas are inventors and builders, always looking for ways to better their species.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The species Neidna was born that day and started off as vampiric leeches in the blood red waters of the planet. Through time and feasting on the wildlife they soon evolved to move onto land and eventually into bi-pedal predators.
The atmosphere and gravity made it hard to breath and move for outside species so overtime the Neidna evolved strong bones and a tough exo-skelton to help them survive the ever growing pressure of the planet and their lungs adapted to filter out the toxins in the air.
In 3630 BBY Darth Malice found the planet Neidna drawn there by a large darkside nexus and discovered the natives that resided there. At first they met her with hostility but after displays of her power they soon bowed before her. Malice found their planet a scorched landmass full of potential as she soon found out that the planet held numerous resources useful for making toxins, chems and healing supplies. Malice remained for a few years and helped create the first High members of their society and set them on a path that would make them valuable allies in the future for the Sith Empire. Ultimately Malice created the split of races within the species as the High retained a more humanoid and elegant look where the Remnants ended up looking more like monstrous worker bees for the rest of the planet with increases resilience, immunity to great concentrations of toxins and increased strength to help with mining and harvesting.
In 750 ABY the Neidnas supplied the Empire with Chems, stims and toxins to use against the Republic whilst remaining hidden in Sith Space.
In 890 ABY, a few Neidnas joined the battle outside of their planet in special suits that filled their suits with the atmosphere of their planet and due to small crystals allowed them to siphon the darkside of the force to sustain them outside of their homeworld
Over the centuries since Malice’s first visit the have flourished as a species and now work heavily on improving their races and those of the empire through science.
