SPECIAL FEATURES
*Reinforced Duraplast Armoring: The Reinforced Duraplast and Titanium armoring gives it considerable resistance to attacks, allowing it to handle most small missiles, blasterfire, and even lightsabers, so it can focus on chasing down it’s targets. Because of the thick hull it can face down both physical and energy based assaults even with it’s shields down for a good period of time.
*Environmental sealing: The AT-AC uses a rebreather system and oxygen tank allowing it to supply its occupants with a longstanding clean air in order to let it be used in any location. The Agrinium lining also means even on the most radiation filled planet it can be utilized. Additionally, it’s been heavily sealed in order to avoid taking in water or gasses that might pose a threat to the vehicle or occupants.
*Sonic cannon: The turret on top can do a full 360º turn and around a 40º raise and 10º lower, allowing it to repeat fire powerful blasts in most directions fairly quickly. It was designed to easily follow it’s targets due to the high speed that the AT-AC is capable of for a vehicle of its size.
*Terrain wheels: Though the tires are made of a type of tough rubber, they are actually unnecessary. The wheels themselves have gripping and are made of duraplast and titanium. Meaning even if the large wheels do lose or melt the tires, they can keep going. The tires do however still offer a good bit of traction. And the engines allow it to move at incredible speeds and up very tough roads.
*Ray shielding: Although not always employed, due to energy take and usual lack of necessity, the AT-AC has a Ray Shield generator that can encompass the transport when it’s taking heavier fire whether physical or energy based.
*Viewports and sensors: Though there are a few viewports on the front, and one in the rear, which are have their own ray shields, these usually are used in tandem with the thermal and camera systems that surround the tank allowing it to see in almost all directions and look far into the distance. The sensors of course are also protected by transpiristeel and smaller ray shields.
*Communications system: The AT-AC have a strong encrypted multidirectional communication system and a single small holoprojector at the front, allowing it to contact allies in orbit or nearby.
*REEM launchers: It has six one meter long Reflection Emitter Expansion missiles built into the roof aimed forwards, which can be aimed from the interior. And each can be fire individual or at once. Each with another missile behind that can reload. Though after that it would have to be done manually. This allows it to take on more well armored targets or groups of troops. Though because they can only be aimed forwards, often end up not being used.
Strengths:
*Can go on many terrains
*Very fast
*Well armored and shielded
*Environmentally sealed
*Fairly good weaponry
*Can carry a total of 12 troops easily (or more if they are willing to cramp, or bring medium or small animals with them)
*Good communications system
Weaknesses:
*Exit limitation: The only exit points are at the drivers spot and in the rear, and they are fairly small. Meaning only around two individuals can leave at a time with both open.
*Weapons systems: Because they only have two weapon systems, the turret and the front facing missiles, they can’t take on many opponents easily. As the turret can only cover one side at a time, and the missiles can’t move from the front and would need to be manually restocked after just 12 missiles.
*Ray shields can eventually be drained after sustained use.
DESCRIPTION
While the Front Liner Tanks were an excellent battlefield option. There was a need for a good chaser vehicle, and a good transport. The AT-AC is a combination of the two. Carrying easily 12 troopers, or normally a driver, gunner, and ten troops, and having a very high speed and good armoring. The AT-AC is an excellent tool for chasing down targets using land speeders or on foot, using as a patrol craft due to its high sensors and environmental protection, or to take it’s troops out past a battlefield. Thanks to its sonic cannon and missile system, it’s usually able to make it past obstacles in order to get its troops to their target location. Since it is meant to be a transport and chaser vehicle, it isn’t as highly armed as the Front Liner Tank, and doesn’t possess the same Reflection Emitter shielding that allows the Front Liners to literally smash into its targets.
