OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
* Intent: A scientist for Getran Kross and the Galactic Republic
* Image Credit: Luwingo
*Role: Scientist, Doctor, Tech expert.
* Links: Yaka, Getran Kross
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
* Age: 49
* Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
* Species: Yaka
* Appearance:
2 meter tall male Yaka of considerable build in spite of his job.
Cybernetic implants are clearly visible on the head and left hand.
Does not show any expressions on his face but certainly can through words.
Often seen wearing an outfit covered in either oil or grease, or a surgeon garb that is usually not stained with blood
SOCIAL INFORMATION
* Name: Gorum Erad
* Loyalties: Does not have any claim to a particular loyalty but has helped out Getran Kross on several occasions. He tends to help any who come to him while injured so long as they would not cause him trouble.
* Wealth: Gorum is very resourceful but rarely has a large amount of credits at a time, spending them almost right away on equipment and objects. If he were to not do so he would be fairly wealthy. This is due to his considerable intelligence as a Yaka and cybernetic and medical work.]
* Notable Possessions: Building equipment and droids. Surgeon equipment. Estate and large ship used for living on and performing his jobs.
* Skills:
-Genius intellect due to the cybernetic brain implanted as a child like all Yaka's.
-Skilled surgeon and cybernetics expert.
-Splicer
-Small ship and vehicle builder
-Droid building
-Technological intelligence
* Personality: Gorum constantly has a desire to fix or improve things, but this is also sometimes overcome by his need for self-preservation. It because of this need to fix and improve that Gorum has helped so many who come to him while injured and ultimately ended up releasing them stronger then they were before their injuries. However, he does take care with his finances, making sure he is compensated fairly for his actions.
COMBAT INFORMATION
* Weapon of Choice:
Gorum is not a fighter and would rely on his intelligence and various droids and allies to help him out. As he has programmed all his own droids and designed some of them, he has found this to be a sufficient safety precaution. Should he have to fight, his size and build would doubtless be of great help in close combat. But otherwise, he would use a relatively simple and common blaster rifle.
* Combat Function:
Gorum is certainly better than someone untrained of most species, but in a war, he would probably be a liability without droids to command. As he is untrained, typically unarmored and unarmed, he doesn't pose much of a threat to anyone with a blaster that's more than four meters from him.
If he does have people or droids to follow his orders he can be of great help if only due to his intellect, but this does not come from experience, only from his own intelligence.
Strengths:
-Genius intelligence.
-Vasta array of knowledge, splicing, cybernetics, surgery, technology, ship and vehicle building.
-Impressive height and build
Weaknesses:
-Rarely armed or armored.
-Inexperienced in battle
-Isn't particularly helpful if it doesn't truly benefit him in some way, even if he wants to.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Gorum was not particularly special or different from other Yaka's. His birth and upbringing were all typical. Even the job he went into, an array of intellectual features, was all expected. Gorum did, however, begin to take an interest in the surgery and addition of cybernetics to beings, in addition to the existing implants he himself possessed, to enhance them beyond where they were before. This was a most unusual manner and while he rarely lost a patient, the results were not always as pleasant as expected, even if he insisted they were better functioning then before. Gorum eventually met with Ferian Istin, who had bought a droid off of him and came back occasionally to make sure its as running properly. Months later Ferian would bring in a Zabrak named Getran Kross nearly dead and torn to pieces. Gorum got to work immediately repairing and fixing the Zabrak to a superior being. Gorum would later be employed again by Getran after paying off what he owed the Yaka, in order to work on new features and optimize the ones he had.
