They also make up mid-high authority roles, lower than clan leaders, but higher then average nightsisters ]

Weaknesses:
-Typically less armored: Tend to wear less armor then most in combat, even if they have the option to. An exception is sometimes the more physical combatants, but even the armor they use tends to be light.
-Some witches have to actually say the spells in order for them to work due to their origins
-Specialization on fewer abilities means they aren’t all capable of as wide a variety and can’t fit in every situation. Support may require help in order to actually do well in a fight, sorceress’s may be the same, physical combatants may have to put more effort in in order to actually contribute to their allies, and by putting themselves in more danger also risk being killed and disrupting command flow.
-Though powerful, the Witches are far from the most powerful on Dathomir or of force users. Many in this position are younger, ranging from 17-30, and haven’t truly reached a level of power. While the sorceresses and physical combatants can handle themselves against most non force sensitives easily, as well as many Jedi Knights or Sith Apprentices, they still would lose to most masters. And even against non force sensitives a skilled enough or resourceful enough fighter on their own can take them out.
-Many Witches do not possess the same precognitive abilities jedi and sith do, though they are typically as fast if they actively fight, the lack of precognition can be exploited by assassins.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION:
The Witches of Dathomir have existed for many centuries going long into the past. However, the War Witches in this case are among the younger and less experienced of its long standing past. They possess power yes, but not in surplus as most clan Leaders and Lead Shamans do. Often either being as powerful as masters, but only as skilled as apprentices, or vice versa. In the case of the Witch Commanders, they are essentially recruited or enlisted into the Dathomir Collective’s military for leadership roles as they have shown enough intelligence, power, and experience, to do so.
The Witch Commanders are often rather changing between one to the next in their style of leadership. And while they do often take similar standpoints based on whether they’re Support, Sorceress, or Warrior, they still are their own people and are given quite a lot of freedom on their choices of strategies. Most Witch Commanders prefer to have mostly other Nightsisters under their command when it comes to fighting, but if necessary are willing to take command of the NightTroop and droids for military purposes.
