•
• Description: Galactic Intelligence is an incredibly secretive group, to that it’s members carry no form of official documentation signing them as intelligence agents, but only that which pertains to their story. They are of many species, and only some of which are clones inserted among the clone army to further survey their actions. They are trained with an extremely in-depth history, even taking into account childhood memory loss, lapses of memory or judgement, and personality traits, positives and flaws. They go through unique training which puts them so deep into their character they only subconsciously follow their end goal, which is to observe for the Republic, and report when something comes up. As a result, many agents may go unheard from for months or even years, only following the path they were given rather than seeking out their own. With exception if they truly believe it is going absolutely nowhere, and only if they remember they are actually agents, and not civilians.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
• Unit Size: Medium
• Unit Availability: Uncommon
• Unit Experience: Elite
• Combat Function:
The Galactic Intelligence system is a unique aspect to the Republic’s governmental forces. Unlike most within the government, they are almost entirely secret even to most officers and others involved. Agents can brush right next to each other and never know it. However, as a result of their incredibly deep rooted story, they also end up being nigh impossible to spot. So heavily sunk into their psychological structuring that even telepaths and empaths, such as force sensitives and Anzati, would most certainly not recognize them without a very thorough investigation into their mind. They report, with absolute subtlety, to law enforcement. Often when they do it they do it without really thinking about it ahead of time, giving information to superiors or those available through coded words and their insignia which is only used when transferring messages, and is required to be destroyed afterwards. The information must be input into the Republic’s database, is encoded further, and then directed to the Supreme Commander/Supreme Chancellor or those given designation to do so.
They essentially work as if citizens or other members of where they are present, were to end up reporting to Republic about things that it needs to know. Only doing so after the fact generally, with rare exceptions. Even when law enforcement actually does come in to take over.
They are also part of what keeps a constant sensus on every being under Galactic Republic rule. This allows them to spot outsiders, but most importantly allows them to pick out criminals much quicker, as it’s either an outsider or a criminal if they are not on the list. This list is held by the Republic’s law enforcement and military, but not actually held by their agents. Who only report everyone who is supposed to or not supposed to be.
Strengths:
*Extreme psychological training: The Intelligence Agents have gone through intense psychological training that allows them to essentially become whoever they are required to be, very in-depth backstories, habits, lifestyles, even their knowledge on the force or politics is run over. As a result they are absurdly hard to spot as they’ve gone so deep it’s practically impossible for them to make a mistake while actually undercover. This same training helps them spot liars, deception, and assess individuals and situations with intense awareness, but which instantly gets buried down where it can’t be found or influence them except as the character they are, until they report it. This training even tends to work both under torture and force powers such as telepathy or sense, as they practically become their chosen individual.
*Memorization: They hold an incredible list of the number and looks of individuals who are supposed to be in a certain location. This allows them to more accurately locate outsiders or irregularities. But again, kept secret in their minds.
Weaknesses:
*Training time: The agents require a good period of time in preparation for their roles and their general training, as once they go in, it’s all up to their subconscious which is always hidden away.
*Conditional equipment: Because of the extreme measures to keep them secret, and having only what makes sense. The agents may find themselves much more unarmed, they may also not have intense combat training, though this depends on their role.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Formed not to long after the Republic was created again, their special intelligence force is likely one of the more unique around. As the psychological extremities they undergo are so much more in depth than almost any other spy has to endure. As a result, they have a tendency for completely taking on their roles until a situation comes up that needs to be told to the Republic, in which case even then their minds find a way to explain their actions away unless they are called out according to their designation names (names which are assigned to them as times for when they come out of character, and must be spoken in a certain context to remove them from their mission) but these names are kept almost exclusively by the Supreme Commander or Chancellor, and their designated choices.
Initially designed to investigate military forces, it stretched out soon into civilian populations. And, where deemed necessary, external affairs. While inside the Republic it was absurdly easy to hide them, able to give them every documentation necessary. Going out often requires much more preparation to obtain what was necessary for them to go completely undercover. They are kept so secretive that there is almost nothing to go off of when attempting to research them, even for those in law enforcement. They are only given an emblem and set of instructions that if they receive they are to send it to the Supreme Commander.
